The effectiveness of the two methods of communication00000 conveying ideas or value to large groups of people should be weighted as the capacity to enable most people to comprehend as much messages as they can. The speaker asserted the superior state of images, I agree with the speaker insofar as although the importance of images is undeniable, language also plays an essential role in the heritage of knowledge.

To begin with, to enable as much people to comprehend an idea, the utilization of images has its advantages. Firstly, images convey messages to people in an explicit way, saving more time of which language has to spend on pointing out what the person conveying messages want to emphasis, and on interactions between conveyers and receivers. In the case of education in colleges, with so many students to instruct, it is impossible for a professor to communicate with each student to which listening their opinions, to express professors themselves so clearly that every student can understand, in this condition, the importance of net-classes and reference books are obvious, which express and describe knowledge with images, compensating students who cannot communicate with professors. In addition, images allow people to create, since different people abstract different messages from

the same image, innovations are just the way, besides. to save the most initiative an abstraction, some message cannot be conveyed in language, such as the image of Mona Lisa's Smile, different people understand her smile in different ways, language cannot describe in an appropriate way. While sometimes, without being told what should be emphasized as language convey, images cause misunderstanding easily. It is easy to imagine a man deals messages conveyed through images results absolutely the opposite side. It is difficult for images to convey exact messages, which are essential in communication.

If so, the role languages play cannot be replaced. As the longest way through which human beings made their heritage of knowledge, certain advantages of languages exist and should also be regarded seriously. Firstly, there are so many heritages and knowledge images cannot convey, such as poetries and hymns, the beauty of literature and rhyme only can be comprehended only by language, how can a picture describe exactly the same with what a poet want to convey? And how can images enable people to understand many details, which are essential in rendering a scenario in a novel? What is more, there are so many emotions of human beings only can be conveyed exactly in language. Anger, sadness, greed, envy, Words have the most magic power to bring either the greatest happiness or the deepest desperate, can transfer experience besides knowledge from a instructor and a student, and enable an orator to sway his audience and indicate his position. The importance of languages cannot be ignored.

With advantages and disadvantages of two methods to communicate, to reach the most people and convey the most messages, the combination of images and languages should be cited. Synergic effects of two methods overwhelm effects of either of them. Just as the case of an election, at the beginning, making the speech of the candidate is necessary, expressing his exact position, and claiming his promise, both of which cannot be replaced by images, while to reach more people. it is impossible for him to made the speech everywhere and speak to everyone, the use of image which can be applied as advertisement is essential. The big picture of the candidate might tell more than what news provide. The synergic effects of both methods complement each other and make better results reliable.

To sum up, it is undeniable that there are certain advantages of images in communicating. However, a single image is not enough to make the interaction exact and correct. Only with the combination of both languages and images thus the communication with large groups of people can be alleged as efficient and effective.
