It's better to watch serious movies to get deeper think or watch movies that amuse or entertain you.



Thanks to the great development in movie industry,we are now living in a flourish era of movies with creative director,featured actors,professional artist and photographers as well as advanced computer technology and hitech video processing device, any idea can be make out and put it on the screen as a real story. In order to meet different tastes and favors from the consumer, the diversity of films is a widespread trend that requires every movie must be manufactured specifically to serve the audience's need.Besides,,a movie is regarded as a kind of product in capitalistic world which should be customer-oriented and basically profitable.



Most people hold the opinion that film itself is supposed to be entertaining,however, in my point of view, a successful movie must start with amuse or entertain people but eventually achieve a higher objectives like inspiring or enlightening the audiences.There is no doubt a film must be made to served its original purpose of interest people with entertaining elements inside. Watching movie was and should always be a enjoyable and relax moment, but if it is just entertain people for the sake of entertaining,it will become hollow and meaningless.



The most influential and successful movies are always featured with entertaining elements and subtly embedded a profound meaning. Take Titanic as an example, the adventure and luxury ship do impressed people and the plot was also full of amusement, but the eternal love between a girl and boy over 80 years moved millions of audience ,it is more than just a movie, it is a milestone in the film industry. Therefore,even if beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,the funny and playful clip will gone with the time, but the beauty inside will always be memorable and talk after years.



To summarize,a great movie should be either educational or influential, a combination of entertaining parts and spiritual parts to  convey the message to the recipient,if a movie could leave us with some thoughts after watching it,it would also be highly appreciated and gain more acknowledgements from its audience.
