3.4：Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The ability of writing and reading is less important than before.

The world that we are living in is changing so fast. Imagine a man in medieval time travels to the modern world. He may be confused about the way we communicate with others. Writing letters to others, which is the most common method for long-distances communication in medieval time, but it is seldom used in the modern world. Moreover, cell phone and computer are used widely, and long-distance communication becomes live.

As we have so many advanced technologies that enable us not to read and write, our ability of reading and writing may decline compared with the man in medieval time. Kids play computer and cell phone more than they handle pens. Cameras can make men's vision more clear than the novels. But with the whole understand of human history, we will find exactly every ability we human need in modern society is getting enlarged. We are now run faster than ever could, and reach further places we never have been to. So the question raises, do we need the ability of writing and reading? The answer is obvious.

In fact, in the modern society, we communicate with other people more than medieval time. How many famous people do an ordinary people in medieval time know? May be they know only a few kings, queens, and governors. But the people in the modern world know every famous people only through surf on the internet. Moreover, we are now having a world-wide trade, during the action; almost everyone in the world is involved in it. I can not imagine how many contacts are assigned. Additionally, as we contact with people more frequently, we are also having more conflict. So we must present the whole thing to the judge in witting. And this requires the most excellent ability of writing and reading.

In a word, the ability of writing and reading is so essential, as they control the wealth of the human world. Although we use other method to communicate with others, we can not replace the importance of reading and writing. Only through practice writing and reading effectively, can the man in modern world continuing establish a more creative world.
