TOPIC: ARGUMENT81 - Allergies are an overreaction of the immune system to certain stimuli. One view is that allergies can develop as the result of childhood exposure to certain irritants, such as dust or animal dander, while the immune system is not yet mature. Another view is that exposure to particular bacteria early in childhood actually triggers the proper development of the immune system, and that limiting exposure to these bacteria through excessive hygiene can cause children's immune systems to overreact to certain irritants later on. A new study supports the second view: children who are washed especially frequently and whose parents clean their homes especially frequently are more likely to develop allergies than are other children. So in order to reduce the incidence of allergies in children and adults, parents should not limit children's exposure to irritants or bacteria.
======================================================================
The statement asserts that allergies are an overreaction of the immune system to certain stimuli, so the author suggests that parents should not limit children's exposure to irritants or bacteria. The assertion speaker stands for two views and the second one be support by a new research that the more washed children, the more possibility to get allergies. Although the author puts on one and more evidences to sustain his points, the corroboration are no sufficient by the three follow.
First of all, the research of children immune system has no sufficient to proof its point of view that who washed especially frequently and their room cleaned especially who would have more possibility to have allergies, because the research have no clearly examples to explain its survey. Perhaps the children they selected for example to the experiment are already have allergies, if so, the survey would have no meaningful to do and the data is not correct. They should selected some healthy children to do compare.
Secondly, the second view about allergies asserts that exposure to particular bacteria has advantage to early children's immune system. Even though the research of the experiment of children is correct and believable, it could not be assert that the exposure to bacteria is the right way to prevent children from the terrible disease, because the author have no definition on limit, and frequency of clean children. In addition, some terrible virus could into children's immune system due to their exposure under bacteria and dirty hand. Wash hand and body could protect them from the worse disease. So if the author have no more evidence to explain his view about children exposure to bacteria have advantages to them, his statement could not be stand.
Thirdly, although the view about exposure could protect children from allergies, it is unfairly assume that the adults could also fit to this approach to prevent same disease. Adults have different immune system with children, especially early children. Some bacteria could trough into body of children, could not into adults’, because adults have stronger body and their bleed move faster than children's. Most bacteria that harm to humans would be bring out body with tear, swear and other ways. So the author magnify the function of the way prevent allergies by exposure body under bacteria.
In sum up, this statement have no sufficient evidences to proof that the way to prevent children from disease of allergies. And even exaggerate the function of the approach of cure this disease.
