Thanks to the scientific research and development, contributing on almost every realm, our society develops in such a quick pace. However, there are still some ones may harm human beings or prevent the world moving in the right way. For this reason, the government do need to place restictions to limit the direction of scientific study. But on the other hand, the limits should not be too many in order to free the reaserchers letting them make great contributions.
It is a common sense that it is the time called eruption in science. More and more new high-techs and theories come into being in the last several years. All of these change our live into a conviniently comfortable style in all kinds aspects. For example, people go to work by car instead of walking or riding a horse. It is beyond ancesters' imagination that we can fly in the sky like what birds can do.  With the help of airplane people are able to travel around the world in only a single day or even land on the moon. In arts, those old and famous paintings get proper protections avoiding shaded by oxygen. As soon as a muscian create a new piece, it will be recorded down digitally. Moreover, ordinary citizens can enjoy vegetables and fruits in winter which was the previllege of emperors. There are more other improvements in our daily live. Absoulately, we should not deny that the science also did somthing unresponsible to the society. We knew millions of innocent people died by nuclear and cloning seriously challenged the social moral. These all demonstrates that the researchs are about every realms.
For the reason given above, the government should not restrintc too much about what scientists are studying. If they are told not to do this, not to do that, they would lost their interest for they can not research what they like. As a result, the pace of development  would significantly slown down. On the other hand, if the government totally control the science, it would use these high-tech to fullfill greedy  officials' appetites as they wish which may destroy the modern city  like what we have seen in movies. Only when the researchers have freedom, our world can benefit most from their new inventions and theories.
Finally, we have to admit that no restrictions is not a right dicision. Considering the example of nuclear and cloning, the government should pay attetion to what is happening. If we let it be, it could probably go into a wrong direction. With the prime princples, researcher would know exactly what they can do, what can contribute to the developing country. Therefore, their discoveries will benefit people instead destruct the society.
In summry, the government ought to state several necessary princples to scientific researches and developments. In this way, the world can advance quickly and in a approprite way.
