Inthis issue ,the speaker holds the saying that education should meet theindividual needs and interests of each one ,then it would beeffective.Althogh the point has merit ,I still disagree with thespeaker.
Thedefinition of education is that ,which is the fundamental for societyto make people be suitable for social life ;To teach people understandthemselves ,the environment of community around them
,and to broaden the horizon of them.Furthermore,education is anapproach to let people learn how to solve problems from their ownknowledge compass.Nevertheless ,interests are a kind of individuals'perception from the enlightening of education .So the significance ofeducation is not to meet the individual needs and interests of eachstudent,instead ,to enlighten different people to their real needs.
Inthe first place,education is dominant by its pluralism methods andknowledge not to satisfy students’ interests and needs.Education is abright light to guide people to their interests.In my view ,educationjust like a receptacle which is fraught with diverse interests andknowledge.For instance, a man who was eager to paint but he didn’t thatbefore he has encounter the receptacle in which he could pick hisinterest.
Therefore ,education’s significance would not be necessary inorder(/) to satisfy everyone’s interests and need ,but to provide moreknowledge and information for those people who intend to seek their ownpredisposition.This is the real meaning of education .Respectively,Darwin comes to my mind immediatedly,he had a great passion for thenature exploring ,such interest resulting from when he was a student inCambridge,and talking with some biological professors.Then he explordedin south America ,which incited him to create the great theory aboutenvolution.(这个例子没有看出后文的论证关系不紧密)His success absolutely is bred with his interest andendurance,instead (改成rather than吧),his mayor and subjects that he was studying .Howeverwe could not say that Cambrige’s education was meaningfulless(为什么这里说meaningfulless??还有前面为什么如此肯定成功是来源于兴趣等?在我读完看来,你给的证据就是你的主管臆测,这样的论证是站不住脚的,其实你可以考虑引用他曾说过的话,<如果有的话>,然后再这样说的话,就会合理很多),at least,darwin gained the information,knowledge and enlightening fromcommunication with those biological professors.(这一段开始用了个抽象的比喻,这样的论证方法不是很认同,写的不好的,还有拖沓的嫌疑)
Inthe second place ,to make education meet each student’s need is notrealistic unless elite education.However ,society is not consisted byelites,whereas,more people are commoners(精英教育的缺陷是因为资源的有限,而不是人的素质吧,这个角度写的话刚好和后文的公平吻合).So is this kind of educationmeaningful and fair to most people of society ?Of course not.What’smore ,government can not provide a large number of educational resourceto meet everyone’s interest .Besides ,it is not necessary for mostpeople that on one just lives on his or her interest forever,who mustlearn other existence craftsmanship,and only interest education isquite vapide for missing and omitting a lot of useful information(这个观点很好,可是你没讲清楚).
In sum,education is ennobled for its pluralism and considerable amount of knowledge ,if the significance of education just meet
individuals’ needs and interests,who may miss a titanic ocean of knowledge .That would be a pity. |
