演讲人简历:

Booyeon Lee Allen is a foreign service officer with the U.S. Department of State, currently serving as a visa officer at the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou. She specializes in student visas. Before joining the service, Ms. Allen was a print journalist at the San Diego Union-Tribune, International Herald Tribune/Asahi Shimbun in Tokyo, and Time Inc. in New York City. In addition to English, Ms. Allen also speaks Korean, Japanese and Mandarin.

Thomas J. Leiby joined the Foreign Service in September 2008, and currently serves as a consular officer in the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou.  Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Mr. Leiby was working towards his master's degree in International Economic Relations.  Mr. Leiby is from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and studied abroad in Beijing in 2006.  In addition to Mandarin, Mr. Leiby also speaks Bahasa Indonesian.
