05.20 Visiting museum is the best way to learn about a country.

If you are interested in understanding a country or a city, the best and fast way is to visit the its museum because you can have a systemically image of it in a very short time.

First of all, in the museums there are many typical collections which can reflect the culture, technology and history of the country. Further, some of the collections can never be found in other places. For instance, people who want to know the history of United States; he can visit the American History Museum in Washington DC, where he can find many valuable materials, such as, the original version of the first constitution of USA, and the drafts of President Abraham Lincoln during the American civil war. It goes without saying that you can have a deeper impression about the critical events in American history from history museum than from other channels.

Secondly, you can learn the knowledge about one country logically and systemically because most of museums classify their collections according to certain scientific standards rather than place them disorderly in the museum. This is helpful for us to learn the knowledge orderly. Let’s take the Aerospace and Astronautics museum in Washington DC. as a example, in which all kinds of aircrafts are classified according to the history, for example, before and after world war two, cold war period and post cold war period etc. Therefore, you will have a very clearly impression about the development of aircraft in America.

Finally, it is time-saving and economical for people to understand a country by visiting a museum. Museums collect so many collections in several buildings that we can visit the whole museum in several hours rather than spent several weeks or months and lots of money to travel all over the country.

In summary, if you want to know a country, the best way is to visit its museums because you can obtain what you want to learn impressively, systematically, efficiently and economically.

谢谢。

05 .21 作文

The 21st century is the century of the explosion of information, which is mean the information is updated with amazingly high speed, and also many new information occur. Therefore, if people want to be kept well informed, he has to get information frequently from many different information sources.

To begin with, with the development of society and technology, large amounts of new information flush into our world, such as, economical news, technology news, national and international political news and information about your company, your county etc. It is rarely possible for a people to get all the information from one source of information. Dr. John. Lehan, a famous president of a investment group in Wall Street, said he spend at least 3 hours for obtaining information, one hour for browsing the internet or reading newspaper and magazine for economical and political news, one hour for reading market report for understanding the performance of his group and one hour for talking with his employee to know what they are thinking about, and he emphasis all of these are important for him to make a decision.

Secondly, there are lots and lots of information in the world nowadays, subjective or objective, true or false. It is not advisable to read only from one source or several source because some of the information are unilateral, instead, people should get different information from many sources and gain a comprehensive understanding on the base of them. This is even obviously during the period of election, for example, the elections of American president; each candidate advocates his achievement and capability. If you only receive information only form one candidate, mostly, you will be misleading. The best way is to listen to information from all the candidates, and compare, and then vote.

Finally, different type of sources has their own advantages and disadvantages, and people should select the optimum for getting information. For instance, reading information from internet is quick and easy, but if you are traveling to an area, eg, the poor mountain area, where internet is inaccessible, then you should gain information from TV, news paper or broadcasting.  Sometimes, when we feel tired by working on the computer, then we can listien news from radio there are many sources from which we can get information, we can correctly choose in different conditions

According to all of above, we should say it is important to obtain information from different sources if you want to be well informed.

The21st century is the century of the explosion of information, which is(delete) mean the information is updated withamazingly high speed, and also many new information(events)occur. Secondly, there are lots and lots of information in the world nowadays, subjective orobjective, true or false. It is not advisable to read only from one source orseveral source because some of the information are unilateral, instead, peopleshould get different information from many sources and gain a comprehensive(delete) understanding on the baseof them. Finally, different type(types) of (information) sources has their own advantagesand disadvantages, and(delete) peopleshould select the optimum for(to) gettinginformation. For instance, reading information from internet is quick and easy, but if you are traveling to an area, eg,(e.g.)the poor mountain area, where internet is inaccessible(thisword is not proper), then you should gain information from TV, newspaper or broadcasting.

Accordingto all of above, we should say it is important to obtain information fromdifferent sources if you want to be well informed(well-formed).

If you are a policy-maker of a local government, will you focus more on environment preservation or economic development? Maybe, it is rather difficult to answer it. However in my opinion, the government should focus more on the economic development because a highly development economic can help us to preserve the environment better.

First of all, development of economic will improve the living level of residents who are the main force to protect the local environment.  If the local residents are still live in very poor life, how can they be active to protect the environment Let me take my home town, a small mountain village, as example, 30 years ago, the residents there had to cut woods for daily cooking, which destroyed lots of forest and led to air pollution. Why? The reason is people at that time were poor and cannot afford for fuel. Comparatively, about ten years ago, many private or public businesses have been developed with the support of local government, and then people were richer and transfer the fuel from woods to gas or solar energy. Therefore, preservation of environment can benefit from development of economic indirectly.

Besides the economic develop can improvement residents' living standards, it can also provide the necessary fund for the research of green products, equipments and instruments for protecting environment. It is obviously, environment protection in developed countries is better than that in developing countries nowadays. For instance, America, Japan or some European countries, they can protect their environment very well because they invest amounts of money to develop more advanced, greener products. Where these money from? It is from their developed economic.

Although economic is more important than environment, it is not advisable to overly destroy the environment for the development of economic because if the environment were seriously destroyed, it cannot auto-restore any more; this is a disaster not only for local residents but also for the whole country.

According to all of above, we should focus more on economic development with the precondition of protect the environment properly.

If you are a policy-maker of a local government, will you focus more on environment preservation or economic development? Maybe, it is rather difficult to answer it(去掉). However(,) in my opinion, the government should focus more on the economic development because a highly development economic can help us to preserve the environment better

First of all, development of economic(economic development,虽然有些重复之嫌,但是也似乎没有其他更好的表达方法了) will improve the(去掉) living level of residents who are the(去掉) main force(drive更好,force 有军队,暴力,强力的意思) to protect the local environment.  If the local residents are still live in (a)very poor life, how can they be active to protect the environment Let me take my home town, a small mountain village, as example, 30 years ago, the residents there had to cut woods for daily cooking, which destroyed lots of forest and led to air pollution. Why? The reason is people at that time were poor and cannot (could not )afford for fuel. Comparatively, about (since) ten years ago, many private or public businesses have been developed with the support of local government, and (since )then people were(became) richer and transfer(ed) the fuel from woods to gas or solar energy(这几句时态有些混乱,作者需确定用过去完成时还是现在完成时). Therefore, preservation of environment can benefit from development of economic indirectly.

Besides the economic develop(ment) can improvement residents' living standards, it can also provide the necessary fund for the research of green products, equipments and instruments for protecting environment(建议用not only句型,beisides…..also…..有点怪怪的). It is obviously, environment protection in developed countries is better than that in developing countries nowadays. For instance, America, Japan or some European countries, they can protect their environment very well because they invest amounts of money to develop more advanced, greener products. Where (is)these money (from? It is from their developed economic(ecomony).( F(这个论证很好,很有说服力)

Although economic is more important than environment, it is not advisable to overly destroy the environment for the development of economic (同上)because if the(去掉) environment were seriously destroyed, it canno auto-restore(auto restore) any more; this is(would be) a disaster not only for local residents but also for the whole country. 8(有点单薄,可举例说明)
According to all of above, we should focus more on economic development with the precondition of protect the environment properly.(可简单总结一下文中观点)
