According to the speaker of this statement, the author said that the technologies have effect on our social customs and ethics and even decide them. Everyone knows that it is a society which changed a lot everyday, and it is the technologies which
have the biggest contrition to all this, It helps the world develop in a high speed, and bring our life to a new level. I agree with that the technologies indeed have an important effect on our society.


First of all, the technologies totally change the way we spend on our spare time, in old time, people always come out from the home and play outside, such as talking with other in the yard, visiting the neighbor's home, or traveling with the family. Anyway, in that time, we had a very close relationship with the neighbors. But now, most people spending their time at home, watching TV, playing the computer or sleeping on the bed, we even don't know who lives near us and never say hello to the neighbor at all. It is so embarrassing. The relationship seems very cold. That is one kind of effects of the technologies.

Like the word before, the relationship between people seems cold. so don't we communicate with others at all? Of course not, the technologies make the communication more easier and more convenient than before. we could phone others, talk with them thought the Internet. Only few people use letters to get in touch with others. We can go anywhere we want by car ,by plane , or by ship. The world just like a global village. Countries
communicate with each other more often than before, We also can learn the custom of other countries. In modern time, we often hold the festival from other country which we never heard before. The technologies indeed change some customs in some degree.

In the ancient time, people often use the fairy tale to explain some phenomenon. But now, with the development of the technologies, people understand why would that happened and it is just a normal phenomenon instead of some fairy tales. For example, hundreds years ago, when the moon eclipse happened, Chinese people thought that it was the Heavenly Dog eat the moon, and this made the people
felt horrified. Now the science can explain it and people don't afraid it at all .And in the old time, there are many kinds of cultures had been existed but some of them has lost. The technologies
could create a good environment to keep it at a well condition. We must say that it is a wonderful effect of the technologies.

The statement said that the technologies decides the ethics. I don't agree that because I think when we talk about the ethics, it depends on the individual. Some people use the high-tech to do the crime. So everyone should make his or her prevention awareness strong to prevent it. Maybe it can effect our ethics, but it can't decide it. And we should use the technologies to benefit the society.
