Anatomy the brain
Listen to part of a lecture at in an anatomy class.
I’ve brought in a picture of the human brain today which we are going to look at and discussing discuss in detail. The parts of the brain that we are going to talk about today are clearly labeled. The brain is like our commend command center for all our daily functions and allows us to cope with our environment. How we communicate with words, actions, thoughts and feelings are all center centered in the brain. Some researchers believe that the brain is so complex and stearious mysterious that we will never be able to fully understand it. Some have even referred to it as a little black box like those found on the
a
plane that contains all the critical and highly confidential information of the flight. That being said they there are parts of the brain that we do know about like the parts of diary in listed on the restaurant diagram, and, we also know their functions that each brain makes bring to make our body work. It’s easiest to think of the brain as three connected parts, brain stem the cerebrum, brainstem and
cerebellum.
Let’s start on off with the brain stem brainstem which is found at the bottle bottom of the brain and joins the cerebellum to the sbinal spinal cord. The brain stem brainstem has an important role because it controls lots of critical functions including respiration, regulation of the heart rhythms, basic exicbac aspects of sound localization which allows us identified to identify the origin of the a detected sound and reflects reflexes. As you can see on the diagram, the brain stem brainstem includes the mid grey midbrain, the pounds pons and the mejular medulla. These allow functions such as the movement of eyes and mouth passing on censary sensory messages like hot, pain, loud and other functions, such as hunger, consciousness, body temperature, sneezing, coughing wamoting vomiting and swallowing.
Next we will look at the second largest part of the brain, the sera biolem cerebellum. It is located at the lower back of the head and is attached to the brainstem. It is make made up of with two hymasfeers hemispheres and its functions are to control a complex voluntary motor functions such as walking and balance composter and posture.
The third and largest part of the our brain is three burm cerebrum. Its associations are conscious thought, movement and sensations such as touch, vision, hearing, judgment, reasoning, problem solving and motions emotions. It is made up of with two halfs halves, with each half can controlling the opposite side of the body. The corpus colosom
callosum connects the two halfs halves and delivers the messages between them. There are four loabs lobes that makes up the three burm cerebrum frontal, temporal, periatal parietal and exipital the occipital. The frontal loab lobe is located in the front of the head and is involved in personality, characrestics characteristics and movement. The periatal loab parietal lobe is the middle part of the brain, and helps you to identified identify objects and understand sbasial spatial relationships like where your body is compared to the objects around you. It also helps make meaning of pain and touch in
the
body. The oxipital occipital lobe allows you to see and is located in at the back of the brain. Finally, the temporal loab lobe is assists with memory, speech, and sence sense of smile smell and is found in at the sides of the brain. The average weight of an adults the adult human brain is anywhere between 1 and 1.5 kilograms. Some people said say that we only use 10 percent of our brain, but it’s this is just a miss myth. In fact, we use our entire brain. That being said we can claim that most people only use a very small reflection fraction of the confitive pertensial cognitive potential of the their brains. Different cultures have used several methods to improve their congitive pertensial cognitive potential, such as reading, education, puzzle solving and critical thinking. I hope this brief introduction to the brain helps you understand the brain and its different functions.
