题目:Education will be truly effective only when it is specially designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student.
来互拍啊!
-----------------
Will education truly effective only when it is specially designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student? In my view, it is true that students can learn most when education suits their needs and interests. However, not every student is clear about his or her own needs and interests. In addition, over-emphasizing on personal interests is sometimes harmful.

It might seem tempting to agree with the speaker that learning could be most efficient when education is specially tailored to his appetite. Personal interests and needs are the coachman urging the horse of a carriage on. From the explanations of psychology, when education suits a student's own appetite, he is stimulated to learn actively and his full potential ability is exploited. However, when a topic a student dislikes is imposed upon him, he would most likely to learn passively. A recent national survey shows that 79% of the high school students are learning efficiently in the topics they like, while only 23% of them could perform well in the subjects they dislike. Therefore we should tailor our education to suit student's personal needs and interests.

However, the foci would be to narrow if we over-emphasize on the importance of educational diversity, while ignoring the fact that most students' interests are constantly changing with age. It is commonly accepted that the interests of a child is shaped by his surroundings. As a child grows up, it is inevitable that his immediate situation could change--the environment of kindergarten is dramatically different from that of high school, which is again different from college. Besides, children cannot focus on a topic for long. Their minds are easily distracted by other things. Thus he would possibly change his interests very quickly. So how could education always suit his needs, if he wants to study math today and shift to physics tomorrow? He would end up with no subject mastered, even though he has studied nearly every major in the world. Moreover, educational diversity is sometimes hard to apply, or even impractical: What should be taught when in the same class some of the students want to learn literature while others are crying for history or math? Therefore, we have to recognize the certain limitations of educational diversity.

Another argument which I find compelling is the social requirement. After all, the major function of education is to provide the society with well-trained professional workers.
That is to say, most of the students would learn to become a technician to successfully find a job. While a school is a factory, and education is product line, its graduates are products. No factory is qualified if its products are unserviceable. If students' personal needs are over-emphasized, then the school may have to sacrifice some primary courses that a society requires. As a result, pandering for the students' appetites for efficient learning might possibly lead to a poor competency for a job. Moreover, some students do not know what their needs and interests are, especially when they are young. With a good guidance, the school can nurture and lead the students' interests to suit the demand of the society. From this point of view, schools should not pander to students' personal needs.

In the final analysis, the speaker's assertion is partly true. Education is most efficient when it is specially designed to meet the individual appetite. However, we should understand the certain limitations of this kind of education, due to the nature of children's constantly changing interests. In addition, over-pandering to students' needs might result in a poor competency for pursuing a career.

It might seem tempting to (这种说法看起来好像很别扭,不知是不是对的)agree with the speaker that learning could be most efficient when education is specially tailored to his appetite. Personal interests and needs are the coachman urging the horse of a carriage on. From the explanations of psychology, when education suits a student's own appetite, he is stimulated to learn actively and his full potential ability is exploited.(这句用心理学研究来证明兴趣的重要性,我觉得挺好,怪不得我写的时候总写不下去,我思维太局限了) However(这里用however也觉得不顺,也许可以用on the contrary?), when a topic a student dislikes is imposed upon him, he would most likely to learn passively. A recent national survey shows that 79% of the high school students are learning efficiently in the topics they like, while only 23% of them could perform well in the subjects they dislike(这个研究数据是真的吗?). Therefore we should tailor our education to suit student's personal needs and interests.

However, the foci would be to(too) narrow if we over-emphasize on the importance of educational diversity, while ignoring the fact that most students' interests are constantly changing with age. It is commonly accepted that the interests of a child is shaped by his surroundings.
As a child grows up, it is inevitable that his immediate situation could change--the environment of kindergarten is dramatically different from that of high school, which is again different from college. Thus he would possibly change his interests very quickly.(是环境不同导致的兴趣变化吗?这个论证好像不太有力) So how could education always suit his needs, if he wants to study math today and shift to physics tomorrow? He would end up with no subject mastered, even though he has studied nearly every major in the world. Moreover, educational diversity is sometimes hard to apply, or even impractical: What should be taught when in the same class some of the students want to learn literature while others are crying for history or math? Moreover, some students do not know what their needs and interests are, especially when they are young. 谢谢你!我申请加入W组,可是到现在都没人回复,真是太寒心了!
还是你好啊!
“It might seem tempting to ”这是照抄范文。。
23%那个数据显然是我编的啦。
“是环境不同导致的兴趣变化吗?这个论证好像不太有力” 这个中肯!是不是应该在Thus那句前面加上Besides, children cannot focus on a topic for long. They are easily distracted by other things.
