Does video camera hold more importance than written records for its unparalleled accuracy and certainty, as the speaker contends? I agree insofar as to video camera does benefit us a lot in the era when people desire speed and efficiency in a soaring trend. However, in a sense the speaker begs the question, by overlooking the fact that written records embrace a meaningful influence upon our daily lives, which even outlives through our history.

Admittedly, the functions of video camera pervade among our daily lives. We do not need to go far away to find examples of this type of modern instrument, for it could be grasp almost everywhere, from the entertainment to the social security. For example, those entertainers, which are consist of video tapes or discs, provide us with much fun to escape from our working pressures in the form of teleplay or movies. In addition, the video camera could help us maintain social order. In many mechanisms, like the road, shopping centers or banks, it is the video camera that serves as an e-supervisor, which could constaint one's behaviour according to the law.

Though benefits human for its impressiveness and accuracy, the video also has its weaknesses. As some nutritionists asserts, the addiction to television has lead many people to couch potatos; the phenomenon of obesity becomes a major problem to our physical health. In spite of this, the overwhelming information through video programmes makes us less likely to focus on deep thoughts. One could easily accept what shows to him or her. This concept,if any, misleads people away from critical thinking, which is an important tool in searching for innovation.

However, the necessity of written record are an inerasability. In determining the function of written records we should of course focus on those records that contain most human wisdom. Since primative time, people have been long for a most suitable approach to record and maintain what flash by in their mind, which we call it "thoughts". Thought move randomly at blind speed; yet, writing slows that process down. Without writing, how could we preserve and absorb the wisdom of our precursors,like science and philosophy; how could we know the history of human; how could we take the wisdoms with us at the almost most convenient way? The written records has its unsurpassed advantageous, which are not pertain to modern technology, especially the video camera.

In sum, It is hard for us to tell which is more imortant form of documentation, for the function of the video camera and written records do not overlaps. We should take advantage of both to serve for our interests, and therefore make our life both colorful or meaningful.
