There is no such thing as purely objective observation. All observation is subjective; it is always guided by the observer’s expectations or desires.
正文
When human beings begin to observe the world around them, their observation is divided into (可以模仿Churchill,加上“two classes,”) the objective and the subjective. Then there has been much dispute over whether there is purely objective observation or all the observation is subjective. After taking several factors into account, I concede that there is no such thing as purely objective observation(有点冗余了), yet I still put some doubt into the assertion that all observation is subjective.(这个Position句不顺畅哦!你的意思不就是:When concerning the nature of observation, neither objective nor subjective is absolute.
As human beings, we have our own thinking and so much emotion that we look into something, difficultly(?), without any propensity. Based on different experience(+s?), desires and expectation, our observation is unconsciously guided by these factors(=them). Purely objective observation is just like the moon in the river, which can never be touched. In the art field, it is hardly that when the observers see the smile of Mona Lisa, they can agree on what kind of the smile really is. When the poets come to see the same river, according to their present moods, the descriptions they make would bring different feelings to others, melancholy(这也用上了?) or exciting, bitter or delight. Referring to the political realm, it is known to all that one remark or statement always represents certain group’s benefit, no matter what(换whether是否好些?) the remarks from the disadvantaged or the power. Then concerning the law, the independent trials from the impartial judge still make how(换so可以不?) many people suffer from the seemingly purely(删?) objective judgments.
是不是感觉be动词结构的句子和It is … that…
Even the natural science, the most accurate, objective field can not claim that they have purely objective observation. After all, all the(删?) knowledge is established on the(删?) human beings 'subjective conclusion.(我承认all knowledge is established on human beings’ conclusion. Professor J. Ziman compared the accuracy of the scientific knowledge to the map‘s proportion to the world. As we know, there is no so big map can reflect the world as the proportion 1: 1, which is just like natural science knowledge can not cover the whole world, because scientists as experienced human beings, undoubtedly, they are incapable of avoiding their limitations. (那我要问:既然map是subjective,那它为什么又能准确的导航呢?GPS就更厉害啦!)Although they have had a great achievement in the course of the scientific development and they try to reduce the individual factors, their thoughts, their technologies still limit their completely exploring the secrets of nature and giving the purely objective observation.
However, there is no purely objective observation. Can we assert that all observation is subjective? Obviously, the first one can not lead to the latter one(删), if we take deep consideration into it. For example, no one will deny the observation that the earth goes around the sun as the objective one. Although the natural science field can not provide us with the purely objective observation, it still offers us the objective ones. Through the method of measurement and advanced technological facilities, it utmost avoids man- made influence.
In sum, if only our human beings exist on the(删) earth, and continue to speculate, never can start the purely objective observation, which is always guided by the observer's expectations and desires. Yet, all the observation would not be subjective, when we try our best to get rid of individual factors. The nature of the observation is depended on when and what we need to do. |
