Issue200:
The most elusive knowledge is self-knowledge, and it is usually acquired through solitude, rather than through interaction with others.

The statement in question asserts that the most elusive knowledge is self-knowledge, which acquired exclusively through meditation and solitude, little relevant to the interaction and communication with others. I find this allegation to be specious. It is highly doubtful to give a concise and rational definition on the self-knowledge. Besides that, myriad of empirical evidence indicates that no one can solely learn and gain knowledge in an isolated condition lack of academic and social exchange.

To begin with, we should estimate the connotation of self-knowledge. As far as the fundamental meaning of knowledge is concerned, it relates to the our daily mental, physical, economic, political or social life, which undoubtedly should be commonly understood and shared by the ordinary people, without this universal features, its survival and practice at stake. Knowledge, regardless of its genres and function, mostly cater to the needs for the majority rather than the expression of the self. Knowledge, in a board sense of definition, includes all the facts, experience, awareness of life and thought, both relevant to the self. Self-knowledge, if the term can be literally known as the knowledge about the individual, is more likely to connect with psychology and philosophy. Even in these cases, the acquisition of self-knowledge should be also based on scientific experiment, survey, data statistics, reference consultation together with self-inspiration and creation. For that matter, the similarity between self-knowledge and other knowledge far outweighs their differences; hence, solitude or meditation can only work finitely in its development or maturity. One can hardly recognize self with self-alone, as one cannot see his or she face without the help of mirror.

To study this history of human civilization, what the knowledge progress is a matter of exchanging ideas and interacting with others. In the field of science, the heliocentric theory of Copernicus paved the way for Galileo's study of solar system; Galileo's astronomic observation inspired the birth of Newton's law of gravity; Newton's theory directed the discovery of Neptune and Plato, and further contributed to the establishment of Einstein's theory of relativism. In the field of arts, Picasso learned from former visual artists in fauvism, impressionism and cubism to shape his versatile and prolific power and made himself the uncontested artistic leader of the 20th century. Beethoven, even often considered as innovator toppling traditional rules and music forms, inherited from forerunner such as Haydn and Mozart, Handel and Back in strikingly original ways. Therefore, especial in modern world, an individual can achieve little if he or she enclose self in and isolated condition without interaction with the others, either the predecessors or the peers.

In sum, for the above-mentioned analysis, I strong disagree with the statement in question. To know oneself can lead a happy and meaningful life. However, interaction with others can help us to see more clear that we are. To advance the knowledge of self, we must understand the interplay between the self and others, internal thinking and outer aiding.

Mencius said,"When heaven is about to confer a great office on any man,it first exercises his mind with suffering, and his sinews and bones with toil.It exposes his body to hunger………….By all these methods, it stimulates his mind, consolidates his character, and increases his efficiency".

i-200.The most elusive knowledge is self-knowledge, and it is usually acquired through solitude, rather than through interaction with others.

The statement in question The speaker asserts that the most elusive knowledge is self-knowledge, which acquired exclusively through meditation and solitude, little relevant to the interaction andor communication with others. However,I find this allegation to be specious. It is highly doubtful to give a concise and rational definition on the self-knowledge. Besides that, myriad of empirical evidence indicates that no one can solely learn and gain knowledge in an isolated condition lack of academic and social exchanges.

To begin with, we should estimate the connotation of self-knowledge. As far as the fundamental meaning of knowledge is concerned, it relates to the our daily mental, physical, economic, political or social life, which undoubtedly should be commonly understood and shared by the ordinary people, without this universal features, its survival and practice at stake意思没错! Knowledge, regardless of its genres and function, mostly cater to the needs for the majority rather than the expression of theone/it self. Knowledge, in a board sense of definition, includes all the facts, experience, awareness of life and thought, both relevant to the同上,self不能单独用! self. 句式富于变化,好!For that matter, the similarity between self-knowledge and other knowledge far outweighs their differences; hence, solitude or meditation can only work finitely in its development or maturity. One can hardly recognize self 同上with self-alone, as one cannot see his or she face without the help of mirror.

To Whenstudystudying this 多余去掉 history of human civilization, we can find thatwhat 去掉!the knowledge progress the  progress of knowledgeis  indeed a matter of exchanging ideas and interacting with others. In the field of arts换个句式吧! As it consider to artistic realm, Picasso learned from former visual artists in fauvism, impressionism and cubism to shape his versatile and prolific power and thatmade himself the uncontested artistic leader ofin the 20th century. Beethoven, even often considered as innovator toppling traditional rules and music forms, inherited from forerunner such as Haydn and Mozart, Handel and Back in strikingly original ways. Therefore, especial in modern world感觉这个表达意思出来了,话没有说清楚! , an individual can achieve little if he or she enclose self in and isolated condition without interaction with the others, either the predecessors or the peers.

In sum, for the above-mentioned analysis, I strong disagree with the statement in question这个短语对吗? To know oneself can lead a happy and meaningful life. However, interaction with others can help us to see more clear that we are. To advance the knowledge of selfourselves, we must understandemphasize the interplay between the self and others, internal thinking and outer aiding.

The most elusive knowledge is self-knowledge是不对的啊?????
