51 Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student.


I don’t wholly agree the opinion that Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student. I will clarify my stand as follows.

To some extent, we can design education specifically to let the education be truly effective. We should consider the students who are interested in some areas that should be trained from the childhood. To meet these students’ individual needs, we should give them the specifically designed education. So in our society there also have many other kinds methods to educate people, which are different with the formal education school. As an example, a students, who interested in ballet can’t learn ballet by formal education in traditional school, can choose go to the corps de ballet and learn much more technical dancing skill from the professional ballet teacher to achieve his dream easily.

Actually, it is also unpractical to design education for every student no matter in the facet of persons qualified to teach or in the facet of education funds. The education from grade school to university, we should learn the same fundamental subjects, and teachers often tell the students that if you want to study something, there have basic subjects, such as mathematics and languages. That is why all of the students should learn the same subjects in our classes. When people accept enough basic knowledge, they can choose the subject and the mayor that he favors in future. Otherwise, if a student only want to driving a plane and don’t like the formal education which often teach him to write new word and a lot of numeration, perhaps he has no ability to read the magazines of plane, what is also his favors, because of the complicated words. In deed, the real signification of education is to teach students comprehensive knowledge. Moreover, we can try our best improve our education plan and adjust the class timetable for fitting various level of students, and our teacher can pay more attention to the student who have lower receptivity in some subjects than other students. Admittedly, it is truly effective and changeless for education to be designed to tutor all the students the fundamental education.

To sum up, the education is designed to tutor students to be a mature and all-around people. As we know, the students always pay more attention to play games or lean other happy things than the so-called fundamental subjects. So it can’t convince me that if Education is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student, because that it can ignores the most important regular subjects, such as mathematic, writing especially philosophy, which educates the student to have a logical and analytic thinking.
