题目：The concept of 'individual responsibility' is a necessary fiction. Although societies must hold individuals accountable for their own actions, people's behavior is largely determined by forces not of their own making.

The author asserts that 'individual responsibility' is a concept which is a necessary fiction, and people's behavior is largely  determined by forces rather than themselves. As far as I am concerned, it is wise to say under some circumstances, individual can not do as he likes, however, it may be absurd to say people's behavior is largely determined by forces, as discussed below.

In the first place, it should be admitted that under some circumstances, one have to do something he do not like, with some forced reason. After all, we live in a society made up by so many people, and what we do must obey certain rules of this society. To illustrate this point of view clearly, one need look no further than the progress of an individual grown. Born a child, and then go to school, learn what the teachers tell him, until being a adult and find a job of himself. All these may reflect most people's career, therefore the progress has been planned and we just accomplish it step by step. In addition, what we do can not break the authority of others, as laws are limited. We must pay taxes to the government along with we must not do harm to another person for the sake of benefits of our own. Consequently, what we do seems just force by the society, but not ourselves.

However, can we say that people's behavior is largely determined by forces rather than their own? I do not think so. Firstly, as a human being, who can think logically, can make a judgment what should do and what should not do. Aside from a very little child, most adults can decide the behavior by themselves rather than any other. Although the society forces us to do something, there is also lots of choices leave to chosen by our selves. Consider the society forces us to make money by ourselves, however, how to make it is due to the individual. In the same time, for the sake money, one may be put in prison as he theft money from others, while another one may be considered an example of the society who set a company and then run on it step by step. Can we say this large distinguish all due to the society? They are born without such difference, what they choose are due to themselves. In short, in most situations, an indult can decide his behavior by him, and he must responsible for his behaviors.

Secondly, how to write the history of ones own due to the person himself. In fact, different individual behaves greatly distinguished in a same situation. Destiny is not the only prerequisite of the history. For instance, in the world, there are too many disabled man and women. Helen Keller, is one of them, or even a heavily disabled one, however, as she can not see or hear along with a disable in the leg, she is not disappointed to the life, but to struggle with it. When the article that  if I can see the world for three days has encouraged so many people not only the disabled but also a common people. Query whether these are all due to the society or why another disabled one who is not as severe as Keller must be looked after by other person. In other words, one must responsible for his behavior because the history is written by his own.


To sum up, due to the reasons mentioned above, we may safely draw the conclusion that although under certain cases an individual can not behave only due his own idea, one should and must responsible for the behavior of him. Only in this way, the society can develop.
