Contemporary society is sometimes portrayed as dominated by the development, both personal and social. If we want to be successful in economy, we should be careful when we make the choice to be conformable or singular, both of which play essential roles in our economical lives.

Conformity, correspondence in form, manner, character, and so forth, seems to be crucial when we make money. When we choose the major of our university, we should take account of the need of social development. Once we enter the right area, we would get high salaries in future companies. Those who majors in software design, for instance, is now the ones whose wages are the most among their peers. On another hand, when an enterprise decides to design or produce something, the president of the company should make sure their new product cater the taste of the public. Under this circumstance, conformity benefits personal economical success.

But we should also emphasize individuality. Countries or companies will never make advance if all its residents are the same without singularity. The society need creative people and the enterprises want original ideas and this entire attribute to uniqueness. Footballers with special technique always possess great salaries and high pay from advertisement they act. Designer and artists all rely on their distinct work which bring them fame and cash. Singers and actors also need unique perform to maintain their status. All these examples show the importance of individuality.

Neither conformity nor singularity can independently enhance one's economy. One will be common without any shining point if he or she own conformity only. And being to unique would do harm to oneself because the activity and thought is unacceptable by others. Apple Personal Computer (PC) is the best example for this point. At first the Apple PC only concerned about its distinctiveness, and never considerate the taste of the consumers, and then it made poor sale volume.
