One of the paradoxical positions in today's world is that whether the technology is an angel who brings well-beings to the global, or, a demon, creates more problems, just like the speaker asserts? In my view, technology is initially for the purpose of the well-being of human，as long as it is utilized in a proper way.

To begin with, technology illuminates us. In the ancient time, our ancestor had no idea about numerous natural events such as why raining, why people die, why there are stars blinking in the sky, etc. Because of the limiting in technology and knowledge, they failed to understand and explain the events rightly but created myths and legends. Due to the developing of technology in related areas, we are now able to observe the micro world through the microscope; step to the moon through the spaceship; detect the seafloors through submarines and so on. In a word, it is the technology development that makes it possible for us to observe the mysteries and understand the secrets behind the events.

Secondly, technology brings convenience to us and comparatively shrinks the world. Due to the development in vehicle, we are now able to travel around the world in one day, which in old times, only the superman in saga may have this ability. Thanks to the invention of Internet, we are informed everything happened on the world in no time without even going out from home. It is the technology development in medical field, for example, cloning technology, which rescues millions of patients who are used to suffering unrecoverable diseases by organ cloning. In short, technology development impels the improvement in human's living standard.

However, the power of technology is so tremendous that if some evil people are trying to abuse it, tragedies will happen. Nuclear technology, which initially a technology subject regarded to solve the energy problem of the world, was once used as weapons in the war. Through almost all the nations now have claimed publicly that they reject any forms of nuclear weapon, some countries are still clinging in such area that keeps creating dreads and fears to the global people, threatening the world peace. Cloning technology, as I mentioned above, through being used in medical field, is also under global focus for it may bring tremendous immoral ethical issue and even disaster regarded to the humanity if one day human beings were cloned by some ultra scientists. To conclude, if the technology were not used in a right direction, or, even worse, were utilized by some evil, antihuman people, its huge power may deeply baffle or even destroy our civilization.

In sum, technology is good for it broads our vision and horizon, and also brings us a more pleasing living standard. It may hold a latent threat of damaging to our life, but if we utilize it properly and forbid other's abusing of it, we are still able to fully enjoy the benefits of it.

It may hold a latent threat of damaging to our life, but if we utilize it properly and forbid other's abusing of it（累赘的感觉，去掉吧）, we are still able to fully enjoy the benefits of it.

语言还是那么地顺畅，呵呵，除了感觉有些口语化点
结构也没跑题，但我觉得是不是应该把第一二部分说多点（反对作者部分 新东方老师语反对的篇幅大点的分会高），第三部分让步篇幅少点(赞成作者部分)？
