In my view, the contributions of groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten cannot be denied, whereas the function of the famous few cannot be overlooked. Both the famous few and groups of people whose identities are unknown are necessary in making significant events and trends.

On one hand, retrospect in history, famous leaders in the fields of science, literature and politics always play a vital role in the rebellion and reformation. It is them who have the ability to find out the root of people's discontent and point out a right direction to follow. Although sometimes their ideas might be too advanced to be accepted by the mass, yet they really affected the world or the society in a potential way. In the realm of politics, De Gaulle, the first president of the Fifth Republic, led Free France from London during the Second World War, which rescued France from the regime of Germany. In the realm of science, Darwin, a novice of natural science questioned why God exists, published the theory of evolution which is widely considered as the fundamental basis of biology today. There are numerous examples to verify that famous people have played an important role in the advance of the society by publishing their ideas and making an event to happen.

On the other hand, the efforts made by people whose identities have long been forgotten should also be emphasized. Without those people, it is impossible to the uprisings to take place and the excellent ideas to be accepted by the mass. It is those people who carry on actions and make the ideas or dreams of those famous people to come true. In the scientific field, based on the work of his ancestors, Newton published classical mechanics. In the political field, without the help of his supporters and the mass, Washington cannot make American to be freed from the regime of British. Indeed, the mass acted so important in most events and trends and they had the power to make their leaders famous.
