In this argument, the arguer claims that the sales of Whirlwind(W) video games are likely yo increase in the next few months. To justify this conclusion, the auther mentions about the result of a recent survey that players prefer games that provide lifelike graphics. In addition, the arguer refers to the fact that W has introduced several such games with an extensive advertising campaign directed at people 10 to 25 years old. However, the close scrutiny will reveal that none of the evidence provided in the analysis lends no substantial buttress to the speaker's point of contention.
To begin with, the survey mentioned by the auther is too vague to be informative. Firtly, the author did not provide any procedure of that survey, we do not know whether the the arguer's conclusion of that survey is correct or credible. Secondly, it is the possibility that those people who were involved cannot be representitive of the overall group of people who like video game. Thirdly, the arguer ignores the possibility that in spite of the fact that video-game players prefer games that provide lifelike graphics, such games require the most up-to-date PC and most players' computer cannot fit that requirement. Fourthly, even though players favor such games, they probably will not pay to enjoy those games, in that, nowadays there are plenty of such games which are free. In short, the result of the survey is not sufficiant to brace the speaker's point of view.
In addition, This argument suffers from the fallacy of false analogy, even though players favor such games, it doesnot necessarily mean that players will be fond of W's products. It is probably that W's such games are not as good as those of other video-game companys. Furthermore, the advertising campaign might fall, because it is directed only at people 10 to 25 years old. The author ignores the possibility that this generation might lack of spare money and there are much more players out of that age. Without eliminating such possibilities, the author cannot convince me that the sales trend might be reversed.
To sum up,this recommendation lacks credibility because none of the evidence provides sufficient support to the speakers view. To corroborate this conclusion, the arguer has provide more imformation about the survey he mentioned and he had better provide the evidence that W's products are good enough and the majority of players are around 10 to 25 years old
