In accordance with the title of assertion, in order to attain success, people should not conform to general practices and normal ways of thinking. It is a hotly debated controversy in that it affects everyone’s daily lives. I essentially tend to favor that in some sense success means that people do not limit in bound of conventional practices and ways of thinking. Diverse examples, including science, business, and education, illustrating my viewpoint will be listed below.

When it comes to the science, a large deal of facts and experience tells people that the great inventions and discoveries are made by those famous scientists who do not conform to normal practices and ways of thinking. As a matter of fact, the science research and study do base on the established theories and principles, no one can make progress without using them in certain field. On the other hand, scholars and researcher can not unconditional agree with those limits and seek for their objectives under that circumstance. Consider, for example, the well-known physics scientists Newton and Einstein. They possess the mind that they do not yield and believe any facts and theories before they can prove that those theories are right and effective. Since they do not comply with conventional theories and general ways of thinking, they can respectively find the great principles of gravity and relativity. Without those creative and fresh ways of thinking, people can not realize the reason why everything will not fly out of the Earth and the relationship between time and space.

Turn to the business, there are many striking and famous examples to show that the success belongs to those men who reject the outmoded practices and ways of thinking. There is a example can illustrate this point. When IBM and APPLE dramatically compete and fight in the hardware of computer, the young Bill Gates found the huge potential of the software. Then, he successfully built the Microsoft, which is now a giant of software. Because of his 'abnormal' practices and ways of thinking, American became the leader of the technology-driven century, and software system 'Windows' influence people all the world. Comparing with those people like Bill Gates, the masses get accustomed to pay their money to the populous fields and expect to earn money. It is true that they will gain a little money, but, in contrast to the success of people who betray conventional practices and thinking ways, their successes seems a trivial thing.

As for the education, in my observance, the unconventional practices and ways of thinking will promote the effect of teaching and learning. Common sense tells that the education requires teachers and students using general practices and thinking ways, which can ensure students to have good foundation of knowledge. On the contrary, with the development of society, people gradually enhance aware of the shortcomings of traditional ways. On the contrary, the school, which encourages student developing critical thinking and teach the ability to judge good and bad can give more benefits to aid student in their future. For example, using computer aid, the rate of learning sometimes will higher than conventional ways.

To sum up, due to analysis and examples mentioned above, there is no doubt that people can safely drew a conclusion that in modern society people will find and grasp more opportunities to achieve success, when they can escape from the restriction of conventional practices and thinking ways.
