我给一些美国学校的小米发了email,询问美国的大学关于8T的有效性。

Dear Xue Zhang,

Thank you for your question.  TOEFL scores are valid for 2 years after
the testing date, so your scores would be just expired for application
for fall 2008 admission.  I would recommend that if all possible, it
would be best if you could take your exam at the end of this year.
看到信我决定还是考IBT吧！虽然更有挑战，但是没有挑战的人生有什么意义呢？

2008年是失效了啊！当然要考IBT how about2007？

Hello, Dear Sir,

I am a student from PR. China and I am very interested in your PH.D Program. I want to apply to the Ph.D program enrolled in the autumn of 2008.

Now, I have a question about the TOEFL score in applying to Berkeley.
There is one last paper-based TOEFL in August 19th. After that, all students in China have to take part in the internet-based TOEFL.
I want to know whether you can accept the TOEFL score on this August 19th.
[EECS Graduate Admissions:]Yes.

And what do you think about the iBT score and paper-based TOEFL score? Do you prefer the iBT score?
[EECS Graduate Admissions:]There is no preference. We accept all valid TOEFL scores.
