In the lecture ,the professor disagrees with that the private space travel is a good thing for the public.
Firstly , he hold the ideas that the space travel is too expensive and safety of this travel is a huge problem. And each of this travel’s spaceship is tested or retested is unknown. Certainly it always costs a lot of money. The professor believe company would not want to spend this money.
So the price of this tour will stay at that level for a long time. But according to the article ,costs of the private space travel will down very faster. Because competition is one of the strongest motivators to cut costs. Well, if it comes true not only public but sciences are benefit from it.
The second reason is that, if there is no discoveries in the space, it will prevent the rate of the scientific discoveries. But the article thinks if company employ some scientists do experiment in the space, they maybe earn a lot of money from the scientific discoveries. Of course, the professor doesn’t agree with this idea because he thinks it is impossible.
At last, the professor surly says that the space tour for the public is no chance.
Before the space tour come reality, it needs a lot of tests. Well ,the tests will cost billions and billions dollars to space station. The company can’t afford the huge money. But the article says that all costs will be undertaken by the publics.
In a words, the professor believes that the space travel for the publics is difficult to realize. And ideas of professor are completely different from the article.
