The lecture makes point about the disadvantages of space tourism. The professor argues that the space tourism is not benefit that much as the passage states, for the space tourism may be expensive, of no scentific value and not helping to ease the burden of taxpayer.

Firstly, the professor argues that the expense of space tourism will be extraordinarily high for the technological cost. According to the professor, that kind of special travelling is based on a control system, which relys on a great number of money to develop. What's more, in order to guarantee the safty of the tourist, the system should be carefully tested and retested. All above needs money, so there is no chance for the cost to go down in a short time.

Secondly, it differs from the reading that the privatization of space travel won't help the scientific discoveries too much. The professor claims that comercial space travelling has nothing to do with the scientific research. Even finished by the best and brightest engineers employed, the result contains no scientific value.

Finally, contrary to the passage, the lecture says that the taxpayers may shoulder heavier burden after the private spaceflight is permitted. Since the spaceflight is private, it is impossible without space centers where their owners are in. Thus, countless budget for the new space airports and bases is paid by the taxpayers again.
