Dose the space travel really benefit to the scientific research and public. The author dose not held the agreement of that.
First of all, the private industry of the space travel will expensive for individual to engage in, as the collision system will develop and the operation will set up which would not contribute to public either, additionally, for the industry, as the safety test and retests will be required which will not benefit for expectation of public to space trip, since the ticket price increased, either will not benefit for the technology development. Thirdly, as the delay of the other attachment technologies like safety tests will be operated, the government will spend other amount of money devote to this kind of industry, so it is not likely that the government will safe a lot of money or furthermore increase the tax which benefit from space travel.
In sum, in the lecture, the speaker totally hold the disagreement of the reading material that space travel will benefit for the technology, scientist, and government tax income from public.
