Nowadays, the level of teachers’ wages is much issued. Someone holds that teachers’ wages should at least be equal to the pay of doctors, lawyers or business leader. But, the other is opposite and thinks that the wage of teacher is unnecessarily increased. Personally, I side with the former. And I will give my reasons to support my viewpoint as follows.
Firstly, compared with doctors, lawyers and business leader, the job of teacher asks for more abilities, which not only consist of deep and profound knowledge, but also request sense of responsibility and patient. As usual, a person who wants to become a teacher must have an outstanding education, in order that he can give as much as possible knowledge to the next generation and successfully solve all kinds of problem during the younger’s study. At the same time, when student has problem of study or life, teacher should patiently help him, and when student does wrong things, teacher should point out immediately and educate. However, teacher should also do a good example in life, because his personal behaviors affect his students. In my view, teacher has the same characteristic with candle, which is lightening other but lighting up own. So I believe high pay deserves to teacher, what is more, they at least should have the same wages’ level with doctors ,lawyers or business leader.
Secondly, as we all known, education is necessary for everyone, because it is benefit for person own development. Fortunately, the duty of teacher is that train useful person for creating our country in the future. What is more, teacher takes an important role in people’s life. However, so that teachers can best devote themselves to their work, government should reduce teachers’ pressure of daily life, and one of the best useful ways are promoting pay.
Thirdly, the job of teacher is holy. Doctor can give health to person, lawyer can help people get a fair result, and business leader can earn money, but teacher is engineer of human being’s spirit, which can not be instead of. Thus, I hold the point that teacher should get pay at least same with doctors, lawyers and business leader.
In consequence, teacher should enjoy at least the same pay with doctors, lawyers and business leader. Base on many abilities which is requested by the job of teacher, and teacher plays an important role during life of everyone, teacher should have a high pay. At last, comparing contribution that teacher does in human being’s spirit, no jobs can replace. And then, I think teacher deserves get high pay.
