（转）关于GRE作文题库以及题号改变的完全总结

ETS的总题库一直是没有变化的，仅仅是把题号的顺序换了一下，03年之后换过两次，现在的题库和03年的比似乎只是最后72道题换到最前72道题的差别，影响完全可以忽略不计。但在整理机经过程中（我把太傻寄托0708年所有的机经贴都翻过了），我惊讶的发现有三道题是例外，即issue88，issue61，argument174

88 "Technologies not only influence but actually determine social customs and ethics."
科学技术不但影响而且决定了社会风俗和道德规范。

Issue88由主动语态改成了被动语态，意思没有任何变化。即：

88 "Social customs and ethics are not only influenced but actually determined by Technologies ."
科学技术不但影响而且决定了社会风俗和道德规范。

61 "High-profile awards such as the Nobel Prize are actually damaging to society because they suggest that only a few people deserve such recognition."
最高荣誉比如诺贝尔奖实际上是在损害社会，因为这种奖项在暗示只有少数人才配得上这样的荣誉。

61则加上了学术奖项这一个词

Issue61High-profile awards such as the Nobel Prize and academic awards are actually damaging to society because they suggest that only a few people deserve such recognition. 新加上了and academic award，题目的侧重就有略微变化了

Argument174 中ETS把alumni改成了alumnae，意思没有变化

174.The following recommendation was made by the president and administrative staff of Grove College, a private institution, to the college's governing committee.
"We recommend that Grove College preserve its century-old tradition of all-female education rather than admit men into its programs. It is true that a majority of faculty members voted in favor of coeducation, arguing that it would encourage more students to apply to Grove. But eighty percent of the students responding to a survey conducted by the student government wanted the school to remain all female, and over half of the alumni （alumnae） who answered a separate survey also opposed coeducation. Keeping the college all-female, therefore, will improve morale among students and convince alumni （alumnae） to keep supporting the college financially."

我们建议Grove学院保留其已有百年历史的女校传统，而不是允许录取男性。确实有大部分员工投票赞成男女同校，认为这会使更多的学生申请Grove。但由学生会所组织的一次调查中，有80％的被访学生要求学校维持女校形式，并且在回应了一次单独调查的校友中超过一半的人也反对男女同校。因此，维持女校形式将促进学生的精神状态并且让校友继续对学院进行财政资助。

黄皮书   通用issue题目前20道移到最后20道就变成了黄皮书序号，

通用issue题号＝黄皮书题号+20       通用argument题号与黄皮书题号相同

issue5.5 & argument5.5  通用顺序的前10道题移到最后10道即为5.5这两本书的题号。

issue5.5和argument5.5的题号+10＝通用顺序题号

底下是issue和argument的通用顺序，太傻置顶机经贴的题号就是按照这个通用顺序来的，而我们一般所说的通用顺序都是以03年的这个版本为准

也就是说通用顺序的最后72题移到了最前面就是现在的ETS题库

我已核对过ETS最新的pool，上面说的完全正确。

谈谈我对题库修改的理解：

Issue88：主动语态改被动语态，强调重点由Technologies 变为Social customs and ethics。这意味着我们可以围绕社会风俗和道德规范，写它们并非由技术决定和影响的。而在修改之前，题目被限定在技术这个主题。

61则加上了学术奖项这一个词

Issue61：增加了High-profile awards的内涵academic award，题目可说的范围更广了，比如数学、艺术等等。

Argument174：中性词alumni改成了女性专用词alumnae，这可以看作ETS为预防女权主义者反对而做出的调整。没什么实质影响。

Issue57和Issue117完全一样，所以ETS删去了一道题，现行题库共243道。
