Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The ability to cooperate
with other well is more important today than in the past. Use specific reasons
and examples to support your answer.

Is the ability to cooperate with others more important today than in the past? Different people may give various responses to this question according to their different educational levels and experiences. However, as far as I am concerned, although the ability to work with others was important in the past, such capacity has become more significant today.

Admittedly, to fulfill a mission together with others was important in the past due to the complexity of some jobs of that time. As we know, lots of miracles such as the pyramids in Egypt, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall in China were made by the cooperation of tens of thousands of people.
It is not hard to see that without the cooperation of these people, these complicated magnificent masterpieces cannot be made.

However, to cooperate with people is more significant today because of the following reasons. One reason is that, with the development of science and technology, our human beings have to face the problems that are more and more complicated than the situation that our predecessors had encountered. Our doctors have found ways to cure some diseases that were once lethal in the past, nevertheless, new kinds of diseases such as AIDS and SARS have emerged, which are more dangerous and harder to deal with. To fight with these diseases, scientists in many countries have to cooperate with each other; one significant contribution of this cooperation is the accomplishment of the gene sequence of our human beings. Thus, we can see that to deal with the more and more complicated problems today, people have to cooperate with each other.

Another reason is that, with the boom of the knowledge in each area, people have no time to learn all of the knowledge. Therefore each expert can only be sophisticated in his or her own area, and when these experts encounter some problems that he or she is not familiar with, the expert has to ask other people for help. For instance, when an historian is analyzing his or her data, the historian may probably need to refer to a statistician.

Taking into consideration what has been discussed above, we can reach the conclusion that though it was important to cooperate in the past, however, cooperation is more significant today not only because of the complexity of the situation but also because of the explosion of the knowledge in out modern times.

恩，语法和句型上前一个人都说了，没有什么补充的。但是我觉得在结构上有些问题。It is not hard to see that without the cooperation of these people, these complicated magnificent masterpieces cannot be made。However, to cooperate with people is more significant today because of the following reasons. 我觉得这里however这句要放到上一段，从firstly这里开始就要另起一段。其次，个人觉得支持的例子一定要有三段。如果找不出cooperation的例子了就举不cooperation的坏例子。
