1.artist与critic的定义，他们各自代表了社会的一部分，artist代表individual，critic代表entirety，各自存在都能产生的value，value都能对社会产生一定的作用
2.society的lasting value的定义，社会的持久价值是对个人多还是对集体多，持久的社会价值的存在意义是建立在individual还是entirety
3.artist的value产生于个体的知识，对contemporary society可以一致，但多数不同，所以critics对其进行批评，来满足whole society的观点。Lasting value的存在在于对future的影响，在这个意义上说，artist确实能满足，而critic只能做到用contemporary的眼光看待
4.然而，我们不能否定critic的存在，因为他们用现世的眼光对artist的作品进行审视，一方面是在禁锢他们的发展，然而也是在鼓励和引导，不让其流于contemporary规则，否则就无法留下lasting value

When we talk about what gives our society lasting value, the answer is verity. But there is a shining star among all precious treasures, which is the art. There a question comes to me that who dominates the art. Although almost children can tell me there are artists who give us the art, I can’t neglect the value of critics. Of course the next question that who gives society something of lasting value seems to be complex. The answer is the artist，or the critic? We shouldn’t say anyone is none of value about our society.
Who is an artist, and who is a critic? In my opinion, an artist is the individual, and on the contrary critic seems to represent the entirety. As the individual and the entirety make up our society, the lasting value should be separated into two parts for artists and critics. Just like the painting, the critics may be never understanding the ideology of artists, but what we can only understand the words of critics but not the artists’. Artists can create the own value; while critics followed us can build the value at the same time.
It’s also hard to say what the lasting value of society is. On the one hand, the value is the generation of culture. The people who can write our culture down on history are firmly believed as artists. On the other hand, the value is the meaning of the existing of contemporary. The critics who can take the view of our popular also produce this value. As the film, the most fashion one must be favored by our audience and the critics, but it may not be the masterpiece of artists, just because it seems be never valuable of artists. What should we talk about the value?
Artists’ life is inspiration, which is developed by own knowledge. It sometimes agrees with our contemporary society, but may also never be understood by our normal person. The critic is the member of our entirety, their words is our popular words. Lasting value is not only about contemporary, it is more related of the future. The future needs the individual more desirous than the same idea. At this factor, It’s the artists who gives the society something of lasting value.
However, we can’t deny the meaning of critics, as we can’t ignore the existing of our popular view. Critics need to inspect the works of artists using the contemporaneous standpoint. It’s better to say critics encourage the evolution of artists than think that critics confine the inspiration of artists. To goal to the lasting value of society, critics never allow artists to reach a unconstrained style, which is none to the future.
All in all, we can’t deliver the lasting value all in artists. With artists and critics all contributing to our society, I must say it’s the artists and the critics create something of lasting value for our society together.
