Referring to the statement that scientific research and development should be supported and granted with as more free as possible by government, I am noticed that the opinion from the statement with the positive mean that scientific research and development with the significant contribution to human being's civilization and evolvement are appreciated here and emphasized support. However, to be logically speaking upon a issue, this statement seems one-side though being positive. As concerned as my opinion, scientific research and
development should be supported but with at least two restrictions, firstly is that the research should be compatible to the ability of economical level. Secondly, the government and the commonwealth should be responsible to be the custodian of some process and culmination of the certain scientific research to make sure that no law, human right, morality be compromised.
To begin with, to make detailed illustrating about the first restriction I stated above, a example of the contrast of two counties should be explicit of this aspect. Inspecting to America which is the most powerful developed country in the world, and a developing country still suffering famine like Egypt, I am not meaning any discrimination here but there is the distinction in the economical level and civilian living condition. So they two counties are facing to different pivot problems of the nation. Return to the facet of our issue. Comparatively, American may and also has the ability to cost more on the researching of astronomy. However, the same action is obviously not that suitable for Egypt at least in recent decades. What Egypt government should focus more upon must be the industry, namely, it is the foolproof that Egypt government will not expense that much on scientist and facilities like American do on astronomy.
Further more, to title that the first restriction as a inevitable one, what I will demonstrate here, the second restriction, is easily be ignored and is of high risk to be harmful to human being themselves. For a universal understanding instance, the clone, it was the government of Britain that made the restriction in time, they stopped the unimaginable compromising to human being's morality and institution of a compatible living context of thousands of years.
That's only a stone of the great scientific realm. We cannot know what risk we will face to on the navigation of the scientific ocean, but scientists sometimes are extremely curious, only the government, the commonwealth, could be the provident compass here.
Finally, compared to the hasty arrogating that few restriction should be place by government, I emphasize the two restriction I mentioned above can not be debated any, even without any gainsaying or disrespect to the contribution by scientific research.
By deliberating back into our history,
we cannot ignore the dirge that caused by the world war especially the debris cleared from the nuclear bombs, no one want to see what happened happen again, so we have to be discreeting on our road to the new achievement, and the government, should not budge on the restriction to the scientific research especially to some development of double-edged sword.
To sum up, it is simple paradox that scientific research should be supported by government, but without any compromising to human being themselves, so restrictions are needed. |
