In this argument, the author assert to expect a constant diminish of the headaches sufferring by the population of Mentia, with salicylates as ingredient for foods. To support his idea, the author firstly states that the salicylates are in the same chemical family as aspirin which is effect to cure headaches. Additionally, the author cites that a wide use of salicylates as food preservatives has been associated with a decreasing of the number of headaches. Albeit some information are presented in this argument, the author are suffering the deficit of grounded evidence as well as the fallacies in logic thinking, and finally the argument is unconvincing.

To begin with, only the fact that the salicylates are sharing some chemical characters with aspirin can not prove that the former has the same efficiency in mitigating headaches as the latter. Since subtle differences can cause gigantic diversity in medical fields. These two medicine may have some similarity in curing other ailments but not headaches. Namely there is possibilities that salicylates have no bearing with head or even hold some counterproductive effect. Without sufficient information
provided to show that salicylates has direct efficacy in alleviating headaches, the argument is seriously weakened as it stands.

Further more, even to assume that one side, salicylates is rised to be utilized as preservatives in foods, and the other side, salient abating of the number of subjects suffering headaches have been marked with consuming foods containing the salicylates, yet, no clear deposition here can point out the causality between the recuperating and salicylates. The author here is too hasty to consider so many possibilities that may also lead to the better health of the convalescent. Such as the population are heeding their health more than before and tending to choose salubrious foods.
