We are extremely lucky for we can enjoy so many forms of art, such as music, dance, painting, film and so forth. But how many of us can honestly say that we can understand what the artists want to tell when we stand in front of their work? The sad truth is that few of us possess the sense to really get close to the deep heart of artists. We seem to only enjoy the beautiful appearance of artistic work. Fortunately for us, critics do us a big favor to bring the artistic work closer to us and enable us have the chance to realize its true meaning. In the light of this, the lasting value of artistic work is created by both artists and critics.

Artists are the host of art, who create art work. When an artist comes to fame, he has experienced a lot of events, which become the main body of source of his creative mind. Based on these experiences, music becomes more charming for its abundant emotions. People can feel calm when listening to a soft music created in forest. The sound of flowing water, the twittering of birds at down and even the voice of feeding can be heard and felt clearly. It seems that we live on scene. In addition, novels always tell us some stories which bring us amusing and incredible plots. Reading in the final pages, we find that the obscure heroin, seeming kind to everybody, was in fact the most terrible woman who killed her own son and husband. Even she tried to pretend that she was innocent and would bring others happiness. Sometimes we are teemed with excitement for we learn that the heroin was set free for the so-called innocence. When the secret was uncovered, we feel angry for we have been cheated by her disguised kindness. But we run rapture for the reputation of heroin was ruined and she was imprisoned. Art work generally takes us to another world where everything may happen. Though it is virtual world, we always happily accept what the artists perform.

Critics recreate the art work created by artists. The diverse forms of art sometimes confuse us because we cannot distinguish which part is real or virtual. There are times when we cannot know what the films indicate, seems nonsense. At such times, critics can show their roles and importance. Through their comments, we can know more behind the art work. The soft music is not only designed to bring calm sense to human for relax. More importantly, the artist wants to arouse our awareness to protect the nature and maintain a harmony world. The novel, seemingly saying that the heroin is not a good mother or wife, actually tells a social truth that people become much more complicated and try to disguise themselves. Therefore, a much closer relation is supposed to establish. Those people who break this general rule will be punished by nature or laws one day.

In sum, more generally, a piece of art work can be passed down generation by generation not only because artist creates it but critics at different times give it new lives and new meanings. Therefore, it is more reasonable to say that both artists and critics bring lasting value to society.
