Art is the eternal topic people talk about. Music, literature and painting are three main forms of art, which uncover the ideas and impulse beneath the society.

Music, an amazing kind of art, usually brings us the senses of calm, light, soft, happy and so forth. The theme song of Beijing Olympic, You and Me, is a typical song, which carries the expectation for forever peace the whole world should hold. In our seemingly peaceful world, while we enjoy the delicious meal on the table, many people are still in extreme poverty. Countless people die because of famine in various area of Africa. The song calls for the world where people are equal to have an enjoyable meal. In addition, some places even have trouble in war. You and me have the same right to live a calm life, which is the call from who are in pain the war has brought to them. This song undoubtedly reflects the impulse of our deep hearts.

However, despite of expectation of forever peace, some literature records the dark moment people had experienced, which is teemed with afraid and worry. The Chinese famous writer, Lu Xun, came to fame because he vividly depicted the horrible time Chinese people ever suffered. At that time, people were suppressed by government and the society nearly was in chaos. Assassination happened everyday and no one dared come out at night. The wind, described by Lu Xun, was always cool and teemed with bloody smell. His work not only gives us an impression what kind of life people led then, but contained the underlying rebelling feeling at the dark time.

Paintings, there are too many of them, each of them gives us a picture what an artist has experienced and what he is thinking about. The scene, a great many rare goats are killed in the protecting area and the green plain is becoming sand land, tells us how cruel people are and what people are doing. This arouses our awareness of protecting the environment. Maybe we have announced that human endeavors to rebuild a harmony world. But this is far away from the goal. The picture may puncture the mask of some officials for their lack of effort to protect the earth and our animal friends. People will feel sad when they "enjoy" such a painting. Fortunately, because of this sort of painting, we know that there is a long way to go to achieve such a goal and we should do it right now without any excuse.

Actually, there are many other forms of art which also reveal the ideas and impulse. But these examples are enough to show us an image that art is truly special and charming for its profound meanings, which are closely related with our life and society.
