I am looking for a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the stability of future distribution systems. The objective is to develop new ways to quantify stability margins in networks consisting of microgrid clusters, distributed generation, and demand response services. This work takes a data analytical approach, building on the existing research in machine learning, statistical analysis, signal-processing, and behavioral science.
The applicant needs to have a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or computer science. Expertise in system identification, control theory, computational social science, and high-performance computing will be preferred. Past experience in power systems is also recommended.
The salary is competitive and depends on the experience of the applicant. The successful candidate will be offered a contract of up to 2 years. The candidate will be involved in writing scientific papers and funding proposals.
