In order to solve the world's most permanent social problems, the author assured that a global university should be designed and supported by all nations. However, in my perspective, I believe that the settlement of global university supported by all nations is one way but not the essential one to solve such serious and persistent problems. The most chief role it plays is the calling for human beings' focus on the problems, rather than really solve them in depth.

Undoubtedly, with the increasing complexity of social problems, there are dozens of problems that require a variety of means to focus, consider and solve, while the development of a global university is among the best ones. First, such a global university can easily find any supports from all countries, including financial supports, equipments, facilities, and experts focus, which is of great importance for social problems. Second, with the immediate improvement of this university, excellent students and faculty members would prefer it as the starting line for their careers, which would also benefit its high-speed research development and the pace of problem solving. Furthermore, with the support and focus from every corner of the world, such university would have turned out the most trustable institute that could do large scale investigation, give priceless suggestions for serious problems, and finally help solve them.

However, by comparing to the role it plays to the problem solving, the global university takes a much more significant part in drawing peoples' focus. Comparing to the power of government, the power of a university, no matter how high its research expectation is and how large field it could impact, is definitely limited.  Therefore, we could not expect a single research institute could solve all world-wide problems and rescue the whole society. The global university is absolutely a university, which could do plenty of jobs on the drawing peoples' focus, especially the governors'. Harvord University, for example, has been a global university full of perspective from almost the whole world. Nevertheless, its essentially social roles include not only the problem solution for the United States and the world, but also the calling for the eyeball around the earth, from the nuclear bomb limitation to the warm house effect.

In addition, the solution of world persistent social problems mainly request people's attention and permanent effect from all fields in each nation. Those problems are such huge ones that could not be carried out by one nation's effect, never mentioning by a single university. Its solution requires the research and drawing attention by researchers, universities, and also the attention from everyone of us.

In sum, a global university is a perfect strategy to research a large amount of comprehensive social problems. However, its final solution required more attention from the whole society and all of us.
