----------------------------------------------------------
In this statement, the author asserts that tourism will soon become obsolete as a result of television and worldwide computer. He/she complains that both of them make people become familiar with a great many places that they have never visited. However, I partly disagree with the conclusion.

I concede that the invention of television as well as Internet provide people with a totally new experience of getting information. They make it possible for us to enjoy the great beauty spots at home. Through the programme of discovery, people can even see some scenery which ordinary people can't reach for the first time. Take the discovery of an old tomb in Egypt for example. Tuankhamun was the youngest king of Egypt and it's is sensational news that the discovery of his tomb will be broadcasted live on the air. Thus, we ordinary people have the opportunity to see what his tomb is like for the first time. In the same way, we can watch videos and see pictures of those beauty spots in the world, with the help of Google Earth, we can even see the pictures of  anywhere else in the world. Thus, television and computer connections do help us to see some beautiful places in the world.

However, seeing somewhere in pictures or on videos doesn't equal to having been to the place. When we are taking a trip to somewhere in the world, it is totally different feeling from just seeing its pictures and videos. I still remember that for the first time I came to the Great Wall, like many people, I shouted the words "I've been to the Great Wall". The truth is that, we get to know a place from pictures and videos for the first time, and we are deeply attracted by its amazing beauty, we raise a strong desire to be there. Admittedly, those pictures and videos do give us a feeling of great enjoyment on the scenery, they still cannot replace the scenery itself, only when we get to the top of Eiffel Tower as well as Niagara Falls can we understand that they are really a feast to the eyes.

In addition, being familiar with the places doesn't necessarily mean that tourism will soon become obsolete. The purpose people travel to somewhere is not on getting familiar with the place, but on enjoying the beautiful sceneries of the place. No matter how real and clear the pictures are, they still cannot give us a feeling of traveling to the place ourselves. It's like we play games on computers like Formula 1 Racing, in spite that we already know that it can race at the speed up to 350 metres per hour, we still don't know how fast 350 m/s is. Only when we really give a try ourselves can we get true feelings of that, so is tourism.

In sum, from what is discussed above, we see that television and worldwide computer connections have a function of making it easier for people to get familiar with many places they've never visited, while the truth is that they still cannot replace the feeling of making a tour to the place ourselves. As a result, tourism won't become obsolete under any circumstance.

In this statement, the author asserts that tourism will soon becomeobsolete as a result of television and worldwide computer. He/shecomplains(这个词用得不好,作者没有complain,只是表达一个观点) that both of them make people become familiar with a greatmany places that they have never visited. However, I partly disagreewith the conclusion.

I concede that the invention of television as well as Internet providepeople with a totally new experience of getting information. They makeit possible for us to enjoy the great beauty spots(这个用得不太好,这是首句,beauty sports的范围比较小,是指因为beauty出名的location,但不是所有旅游的地方都这样,比如二战的集中营。说成places of interests such as many beauty spots就可以了) at home. Through theprogramme of discovery, people can even see some scenery which ordinarypeople can't reach for the first time. Take the discovery of an oldtomb in Egypt for example. Tuankhamun was the youngest king of Egyptand it's is sensational news that the discovery of his tomb will bebroadcasted live on the air. 例子不错

几个例子也很好,但是后面那一句具体的例子不太适合做结尾。

In addition, being familiar with the places doesn't necessarily meanthat tourism will soon become obsolete. The purpose people travel tosomewhere is not on getting familiar with the place, but on enjoyingthe beautiful sceneries of the place. No matter how real and clear thepictures are, they still cannot give us a feeling of traveling to theplace ourselves. It's like we play games on computers like Formula 1Racing, in spite that we already know that it can race at the speed upto 350 metres per hour, we still don't know how fast 350 m/s is. Onlywhen we really give a try ourselves can we get true feelings of that,so is tourism.
这一段的formula 1的例子对于证明这一段的论点,不太合适。反而更加合适于上一段的那个论点。

In sum, from what is discussed above, we see that television andworldwide computer connections have a function of making it easier forpeople to get familiar with many places they've never visited, whilethe truth is that they still cannot replace the feeling of making atour to the place ourselves. As a result, tourism won't become obsoleteunder any circumstance.

结尾不错,但是那个under any circumstances有些绝对了
