In our long history, the famous individuals are to the groups of people what the mightiest of stars are to the universe. As a consequence, we place emphasis on famous few but we can not ignore the groups of people in the process of studying history for all the people contain famous and the mass jointly create the history.

For one thing, we should not ignore the fact that limited by the historical record and the energy of the investigator it is impossible to do research on every person in the history, then putting emphasis on individuals is reasonable. As we all known, washed by the wave of the long history the retained record which about the few individual is typical and meaningful to that time even aftertime. For example, the scientist Nicolas Copernicus who is live 1473 to 1543, hundreds years ago, however remain the historical record about his life time and his theory. Just because his behavior reflect the fact of that man's infinite yearning to know the truth and his heliocentric system theory in "De revolutionibus orbium coelestium" laid the foundation of modern science depends and paved the way for scientific progress. This is of great significance for the time. Therefore, placing emphasis on the few famous individuals is feasible, as the byword said "When you have seen one, you have seen than all".

The groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten also play important role. Undoubtedly, the policy will failing while the mass do not support it. It is the same to the science area, as Newton once said "the veneration people grant me and the keen perspective I have are all but because I am standing on the shoulder of uncountable achievers as Galileo, Archimedes and so on". For instance, before Copernicus there is a philosopher claim that the sun is center of the universe but has not approved it. In Copernicus's time, he sum up predecessors' experience and dive into forerunner's theory as well as through long period observe, then he put forward the heliocentric system in his "De revolutionibus orbium coelestium". Indisputably, the Copernicus' scientific research contain the work of uncountable other person. Thus, we should not ignore the force of the mass which is equally crucial to famous for the development of our society.

Finally, as the byword said “Anyone can make history, only great man can write it” so we can place emphasis on famous individuals but we should not ignore the groups of people in the process of studying history, because all the people contain famous and the mass jointly create the history.
