i think baby Rudin's mathematical analysis is more fit for a layman of Econ to read. He will find that Econ is not the same as he thinks, though the book is easy..

If you can't handle Rudin easily, i think there is no significance for you to apply for Econ PHD, even master.  

To 6#, Greene maybe too hard for undergrad.
