为啥要读8年？求高人指点啊

Good to hear that you are interested in our PhD program.  We accept phd students on an annual basis.  If you are admitted, I’d be happy to work with you.  Our program is still fairly new and less quantitative.  Given your qualifications, I’d be happy to work with you if admitted to XXX.   The time-to-degree varies; the reported average time to doctoral degree is 8 years (which you know includes outliers on both ends)

8年不可尽信，很多美国学生边读书边工作，所以慢一些。中国人最好6年搞定。

大神，可是我问了一下我们系美帝毕业的老师，大都是七八年毕业，最长的读了10年。。。
