大家好，刚来到寄托。我是美本在读第三年的生物医学工程学生，现在在准备LSAT打算申请JD做patent law方向的发展，不知有没有有过类似经历的大佬们可以帮我指点一下迷津？

Just wondering if you have seen patent attorneys with master degrees rather than Ph.D?
And for people without a Ph.D degree, is it possible for them to work as patent attorneys in fields other than life science?

Thank you very much! I just read the post and did some research on other websites. It seems a master degree is necessary for a patent attorney. I will further my study just a bit then. Ph.D feels like too much a commitment for me :3

This may be off the topic, but could you shed some light on my next question?
I major in biomedical engineering, and I have some experiences in both cell biology and bio-instrumentation (EE applications in medicine   i.e: pace maker). Do you think the versatility in my education is beneficial to patent law practice? Should I focus more on one specific field or further increase the versatility of my master degree education?
