Whether the appearance and behavior can represent a society's ideas and values, different persons have their own opinions. The speaker holds the positive view point. In fact, the complicated nature of the issue requires us to answer it case-by-case. As far as I am concerned, these superficial things such as appearance and behavior can show some basic ideas of the society, however, the true ideas and values can be uncovered by the historyand the society's politics .

To begin with, people who have special dress and look which belong to their era are telling us what condition they are living and which is their common interest. We can know some ideas of them through observing these apparent signs. Most of the people in the society make up themselves, which shows they are pursuing a graceful living and they admire the beauty from their inner heart. If all of them work hard every day, we can know they are indigent and what their pursuit is devoting to the whole world. When we touch a society, the human of the people behave slight and treat amiably they will leave a better impression to us and we are offered that they are admiring the friendship. All these apparent signs express their ideas and values.

However, the true ideas and values of a society are derived from their tradition. When one wants to know a society, he or she must know the history of the society which embraces large numbers of information, which is the basis of the modern value. China is country with long history, which shapes the basic value of the country. Through laborious Chinese's endeavor they acquired a large number of physical and moral wealth, which built the Chinese's nature: indigence. In fact it still exist nowadays, however we will not identify it easily only via the apparent phenomena. Looking back to the traditional process we can know and understand it, because their values are covered by current phenomenon after long times.

In addition, when we plan to identify the ideas and values of a society the present political trend can give us the answer. In other words, the politics reflects the people's opinions to some extent. If a country's politics trends to help other countries and hope to build a harmony society we can reach the conclusion that the justice and equity is their true value, which is the ideal of its people.  In addition, before a leader makes his decision he must know the need of the people and based on it he makes the concrete articles. So the political articles can become the tool for us to obtain the society’s ideas and values. Thus, we must understand the political trend and accurate political articles of the society we can know the society's ideas and values perfectly.

In sum, a society's current value and ideas is based on the history and it can be reflected by the political trend of the society. When we want to understand the society we should learn the information which guarantees we have a objective attitude.
