I fundamentally disagree with the assertion that it is unnecessary to research history which provided little guidance for living in the present. Nevertheless, history has played an irreplaceable role in the development of human being.

To begin with, no one can deny that history has provided with plenty of precious heritage handed down by generations to generations. As a famous American female writer Pearl Buck once said," If you want to understand today, you have to research yesterday." Although science and technology is highly advanced today, the process of human evolution history has its own internal regularity, people still need history as a pilot lamp to guide the development. Open the gallery of history, multitudinous instances could be seemed as milestones for the society improvement. Without Edison invented light, people would still living in the darkness, let along the advanced electronic era. Without Einstein put forward Relative Theory, people would not understand a lot of principles in physics subject. Without Beethoven created the excellent classical rhythm, modern music could loss the soul and could not proceed forward. Therefore, study history could not only make us not take nowadays activities and achievements for granted but also guide us to improve in the correct orientation

Secondly, we have to admit that studying history can also help us avoid repeating mistakes happened in the past. For instance, numerous lessons learned from all of the past wars especially World War can make for more responsible leaders by avoiding mistakes made by the past commanders. It should be realized that harmony of the whole world is benefit for human being. Looking back to the past to see various actions of human behaviors on the environment can show valuable lessons on the importance and necessity of environmental protection. The study of the destruction of the ozone layer over the poles of the earth has given birth to new laws and regulations on certain chemicals that help to preserve the atmosphere over our head. From human peace to living environment, histories are very useful to guide us overpass the hazard traps and develop on the right way.

Furthermore, the study of past is significant since the relevant historical antecedents and experience can help us settle plenty of problems and challenges. Take the ancient Chinese military author Sun Tzu's book "The Art of War" for example, many sorts of people, from military commanders to business leaders could attain valuable knowledge that allow them to operate more efficiently and effectively. In addition, great elites' achievements and spirits could inspire the courage and confidence of youths in face of their personal fears in life.
