The author provides several examples to illustrate that some activities stimulate the growth of tourism. It seems be well-supported by the paucity of particulars provided in this essay. However, the author has overlooked the situation today which is stated by in the lecture.

In the reading part, the author concludes that some activities, such as pilgrimages, trade, colonization, all stimulate the growth of tourism. The purposes of tourists also have changed from searching for resources to cultural, educational, and scientific purposes. For example, the tour story of Darwin and Hemingway just could be used for accounting for the conclusion of the author. They interest in studying animals and plant species or recording their expeditions.

While in the lecture, the professor thinks that the conclusion of the author is completely out-of-date. Today, the purposes of tourist have never been limited in adventure and colonization. People have changed their notions for pleasure. The first is a kind of cultural tourism, and people could watch the traditional village or home. They can enjoy dance, songs and costume. The second is environmental tourism. People can learn the nature by observing and photographing the wildlife.

Thus, the reading passage lacks the analysis of tourism purposes today. The lecture would be a powerful supplement of its content.

我觉得有个问题：题目要求是：summarize ...in the lecture, and explain how they are similar to or different from points in the reading....注意是summarize lecture,而你却用一段来写reading,一段来写listening,这样写是不是有问题啊；我看og的5分范文，一半是先说一个lecture的point,然后就说与reading的哪个point有联系之类的；我也只是前些天才解除综合写作，有不对的地方请指正！
