It is quite quickly and stably that the computer technology develops today so that remote learning and working through computers are generally accepted by more and more people.Is it beneficial for us? I tend to believe not.



Undeniably, working or studying through computers brings us benefits to some extents. In terms of social concern, the issues of traffic congestion and gas pollution would probably become not so serious as most of people will just stay at home rather than taking vehicles to go to school or workplaces, which leads to more transportations and pollutant air on the road. Also, it is too time-cunsuming and money-consuming when children or workers spend much time on the way to their destinations. Consequently, precious time and money will be saved up if one can be educated or perform jobs at a certain place.



Nevertheless, is it truly feasible for every member to implement this long-distance education or employment? I think a couple of questions should be taken into consideration. First of all, the traditional education, namely schooling, provides peers with more opportunities to interact with each other, which is conductive to their growth both physically and mentally. Oppositely, studying from computers is obviously not comparable. In addition, only at schools or offices can some professional facilities of studying or working be used by children or staffs. So, it is actually inconvenient for them to learn or work. Further more, instead of staying at home for a long time, taking some physical exercises when walking from home to another place would lessen the possibility of obesity and diseases. It seems that long-distance controlling of learning or doing jobs is not enough for people either at work or at study.



In my conclusion, people should deliberately choose the right way to work or study, they had better integrate both approaches to acquire more benefits from employment or education.
