On the March 15th episode, we talked about some old drugs of learn new tricks. This chemical started it out fighting one disease, when the researchers discovered they could treat something else. Now comes news of a couple of more molecules that might be soon moonlighting. First, researcher in John Hopkins found that the ingredient in dandruff shampoo that suits the itching on your skull can also calm brain cells inside your head. The scientists were researching for chemicals that interact with p????? channels(专业名词吗？)---molecules help to quite exited nerve cells, when these channels are damaged, no（answer？？） get over stimulated, the condition can cause seizures. The Hopkins team discovered that the active ingredients in dandruff shampoo make the effective p????? channels run smoothly, which make it good candidate for treat conditions like epilepsy. Meanwhile, another team in Hopkins found drug used to treat toenail fungus can also block the growth of new blood vessels, such angiogenesis inhibitor are being test for the ability to kill tumors, which need new blood vessels to survive and spread. Can’t make you wonder? What another medical break through might be looking beneath your bathroom scene.

potassium（钾） channel 搜了半天终于搜到了！
In cell biology, potassium channels are the most common type of ion channel. They form potassium-selective pores that span cell membranes. Potassium channels are found in most cells and control cell function.

还有一个月考试，练听力和口语练疯了，呵呵，有些专业的词依据发音查的字典。考试最担心口语啦，也担心万一听力遇到很专业的词汇就挂了，嘻嘻。觉得自己听力最近有进步，对很多发音有比较深刻的印象了。继续努力，希望有一天能达到小楣的水准，那我就不愁啦。谢谢指正哦

麦马st还是西大ece software

麦马st预计16个月左右 Western ece一年项目二者安省pnp加分一致都有三年工签目标找工两者都有coop机会麦马可能理工科强一点不过西大专业title会不会好一点综合专业时长 coop难易程度等因素求建议

24fall cs求选校建议

目前是拿到了NTU的CCA，赫尔辛基CS全奖，CCA本来是23日留位费截止我申请延了两周，NTU还有MSIS和AI没有出赫尔辛基的CS给了真的很心动，对我的诱惑就是可以环游欧洲；缺点是芬兰气候不好，而且找工困难，最后可能还是会回国，还有个主要原因是父母觉得芬兰加入了北约所以不安全（？） NTU的CCA是1-1.5年，适合回国找工，缺点是这个有控制相关课程，我本科是cs的担心学起来困难，计划以后找工作是开发相关的，担心这个回国可能认证成控制相关。 NTU的MSIS和AI的课程都蛮喜欢的，但是真的好慢啊呜呜呜（去年9月其实还有申请UST的it和bdt，我是真的不配ust吗，给我默拒了） bg是中下985cs 均分87.6 雅思6.5 相关水科研实习

EECS KTH还是NTU 求选offer
