Only a very small percentage of people from the service professions ever become board members of the 600 largest North American
corporations. This shows that people from the service professions are underrepresented in the most important corporate boardrooms
in North America.

Which one of the following points out a flaw committed in the argument?

(B) The percentage of people from the service professions who serve on the boards of the 600 largest North American corporations
reveals little about the percentage of the members of these boards who are from the service professions. (OA)

600强的percentage只是一小部分。
广大中小企业的percentage，才更重要。

报告版主, 我一开始也这样想, 所以选了(C)
It is a mistake to take the 600 largest North American corporations to be typical of corporate boardrooms generally.

请问(B)的意思, 其中
The percentage of people from the service professions who serve on the boards of the 600 largest North American corporations
和
the percentage of the members of these boards who are from the service professions.
后面指的是什么呢?

我觉得C的意思：
generally = widely = 普遍认为地
typical = Having the distinctive（与众不同的） qualities of a particular type of person or thing
---------------------
（B）分别指
600强中的董事会里，服务人员占的比例
和
董事会里，服务人员占的比例

谢谢, 这题昨晚睡前又想了一想, 所以没有立刻回帖
一开始我以为本题flaw在于 600 和 most 上的差异选了(C)
"误将600强对于所有(generally)董事会认为是有代表性的"

可是答案却是(B)
"服务人员里，600强中的董事会里占的比例不足以表示董事会里，服务人员占的比例" (和板主的翻译有点不一样, 可是我仍然无法分辨两着差异)

这题还真复杂, 脑袋就是转不过来

看了下 kaplan ，关于C 的说法：
说“corporate boardrooms generally” 是 outside the scope elements。

Pride only hurts, it never helps.
It will shock you how much it never happened.

刚刚骑车的时候想到了
(B)说的错误是说, 服务业里, 在600强占比重虽少, 但对于600强来说却可能占了多数, 我们无法得知
至于为什么在两个flaw里面选了这个我再想想

I did not read carefully. But I think in this way. E.g. there are 100,000 service professions. If only 0.1% of them serve on the boards, there are 100 people from the service professions serving on the boards. However, there may be only 200 board members, so 50% board members are people from the service professions.
