That novice makesa important contribution to a specific field is not rare in our life. Justcheck up a recent news, Jiayi Liu, a junior from Central South University, haveproved the Seetapun Guass which has confused the experts in math more than tenyears. However, this example, along with this kind of examples are no enough tosubstantiate the speaker's claim.For such examples could only tell us that even a novice have a chance to make acontribution. As for the possibilities of that anovice make a contribution and that expert make a contribution which one isbigger, I bet the latter.

That beginner ismore likely to make a important contribution than expert is a illusion, which ispartly result from the coverages on these cases that a novice make a bigdiscovery. These medium, who have a preference to novice, are just catering forpublic's curiosities. Obviously, a piece ofcoverage, which beyond human expectation, could get more attractions than thanthose nomal thing, like a mathematiciansolved a math problem. In short, the illusion is unconvinced.

Therefore,experts, since they have much more experiences and knowledge (不可数) on a specificfield, are more likely to make an important contribution. Consider thescience field. Who came up with the Newton's Law? Newton, a expert in physics.Who invent personal computer? Bill Gates, a expert in computer science. Whodraw the Mona Lisa？ Dar Vinci,an expert in painting...There are numerousinstance of brilliant experts who made important contributions, however, whichare too common to be ignored
by public.

Consequently,although people are paying much more attention to these beginners who madecontributions instead of the experts, the claim that beginner is more likely tomake a contribution is questionable. In fact, in my view, the expertscontributed much than these beginners.
