Governments should focus on solving the immediate problems of today rather than on trying to solve the anticipated problems of the future.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. The controversy between the immediate present and the anticipated future is common to engage but difficult to solve. It's true that looking upon the immediate problems rather than anticipated trouble can make people enjoy the better living conditions. On the contrary, the ignorance of descendants' life quality is a less acceptable solution compared to the future-stressed way. Therefore, the balance between immediate present an the anticipated future is more meaningful and significant than the situation that either of them become absolutely important.
Compared to the anticipated problems, the immediate problems we meet may be more important, more emergency urgent, even more fatal because the limited time we have to resolve the problems. To explain this point clearly, here is an example about goods which are not sold well in the national market. In the anticipated future, the deficit of this situation may be neutralized by the revenue got from the international market where this kind of goods are well accepted. Unfortunately, the unemployment caused by the shock in national market may lead to companies' bankruptcy, even the disappearance of this goods. As a result of that, the future that this kind of goods is survived by the international market's revenue will never come. To concentrate on the solution of immediate problems can prevent us from overlooking the problems whose ignorance will cause awful effect on our daily life.
On the other hand, speed cannot always be advantage in any situation. The efficient resolution of these problems may generate some new problems which is more difficult and more harmful. Because of the greater and greater population we have, the supplement of the purveyance is not sufficient to meet the need of everyone. As a result of this expansion of population, government encourage people to plant cereals and turn the ground in where the forests live in into agricultural land as much as possible. This kind of resolution is really effective in meeting people's need for food. But the bad effects we are all experiencing today: the sandstorm coming in every spring of Northern China. Because of the limited time we have, there is no excess attention to modify the decision we made, no concerning about the existence of the better solutions may have. Factually, the answer we finally make is not a complete one. That's unfeasible to focus only on the immediate problems.
Compared to the immediate solution, solving anticipated problems has its own benefits. The enough time we have during the process of decision making is necessary. It's not the end that proposing the plan to solve the problems until the resolution is justified to the real. Without the correction and optimization, the resolution cannot do its job effectively. Focusing on anticipated problems can provide the sufficient time and reduce the loss caused by the trial aimed to find error. Taking a simple instance, the direction of a law can not be separated to the process that considering the legal provisions are reasonable or not. When we discuss on the justifiability of the law, we concentrate more on the anticipated problems rather than only on the immediate problems because a complete law is the very regulation we need. Therefore, the position anticipated problem state cannot be easily repeated by the immediate problems.
While focusing on the immediate problems way will abandon the possibility of better approaching which may be discovered by the anticipated consideration, the efficient of handle difficult and urgent problems can not be ignored. Consequently, the balance weighs the most.
