142"The well-being of a society is enhanced when many of its people question authority."

Whether question authority can benefit the society in the development? The speaker claims that critical thinking on the authority helps the social improvement. I concede that question and criticize some opinions of the authority real have positive effects on nations, but people should also respect scholars and leaders rather than challenge them blindly.

In the political level, challenge authority makes those famous people know the mistakes what they have made and help them to be more efficient to do the work. As a leader of society, the president cannot abuse the power and make decision by him/herself, or it will cause the discontent about the laws, regulation and policy. To gain more support and lead the public effectively, leaders should accepted suggestions from the public and modify the principle or plan appropriately according to the interest of the society. As citizens, people should challenge the leader's determination which conflict with the social interest, after all, human nature leads to a leader fails to realize the defect of the decision he or she have made. For example, America is considered as the most democratic nation in the word, because the government desires to accept the suggestions and opinions about the situation of the country from the public. In the process of citizens, the government knows its shortcomings and the will of people, and then the leader can establish more effective laws to regulate social developing.

In the science level, any person would make mistake, so does the authority in the academic fields. Researchers and scholars also need ordinary people to challenge their theory and opinion, or the improvement of the field will hard to achieve. Obviously, some traditional ideas have been questioned and eventually are verified to be wrong, such as the theory about egocentric, which has dominated human beings for several thousand years. Without the challenge and the courage, people might also believe that the world is the center of the universe. Descartes, a famous philosopher said," I think, therefore, I am." If the public fails to think and question authority, the nation would trap in chaos and even degradation.

However, questioning blindly about the ideas of authority also cause problems for the disrespect to those people who have made great contribution to society. The development of the society cause some people pursue their own interest by any means, and challenge authority would be an effective way to gain attention and reputation. Indeed, some of them point out the question about fatal mistake of leader's theory and modify them to be correct, but there are a few people challenge the authority without any strong evidence. Faced with such challenge for the purpose of gaining reputation, the challenge change into a barrier, which not only effects the improvement of the field, but also wastes money and time.

Undoubtedly, individuals and society benefit more from the challenge and question authority, such as the fields of politics and science. Every person has his or her own shortcomings, so does the authority. Therefore, the public should pay attention to the ideas of famous people and challenge the vague and distort opinion to help them avoid of unnecessary mistakes. Moreover, society should respect the authority for their contribution rather than question blindly.

好多语法错误，之前应该先用word查一下

有疑惑为什么famous people后要加them？还有那个their mistake？？

还有啊cause为什么改comes？应该也是引起的意思啊
, regulation加逗号，为什么啊，后面接了and还要加逗号，不会吧？
还有最后为什么要用seems to ？我认为就是有效的，为什么还要看上去

有疑惑为什么famous people后要加them？觉得罗嗦还有那个their mistake？？the mistakes what they have made, 罗嗦
The development of the society ，不能这样表达吗？用social developmentThe development of the society ?????cause some people pursue their own interest by any means? 说不通阿... 要不然就是有深层次的原因,那样你就要解释清楚
还有啊cause为什么改comes？应该也是引起的意思啊读起来不爽,改成there may comes会好一些
, regulation加逗号，为什么啊，后面接了and还要加逗号，不会吧？列举的时候, 用A,B,and C这样的结构读起来很舒服，是习惯用法
还有最后为什么要用seems to ？我认为就是有效的，为什么还要看上去seems to be 暗含讽刺和否定，体会一下
