Nowadays, the advertisements have won tremendous popularity in product marketing, and they can be seen everywhere in our social life, such as the computer and TV screens, the walls behind the building, the textbook of the students, and just name a few, however, there is no absolute agreement on the question whether the products made in the advertisements is much better or healthier than they really are. From my point of view, though advertisements employed by different companies enjoy an array of benefit such as the high profits, easy accessibility, and great convenience, the products advertised is not better, if good, than they publicized.
On a substantial level, the products in the advertisements are equally excellent as they truly are, and it is also of great importance for the generalization and development of the products. For industries, the agreement of the products in the advertisements with them in reality plays an indispensible and imperative role in making profits, gaining a good reputation and expanding their market share. For customers, that the products they bought are just as what they are advertised or even better will bring convenience and help them gain the faith in the industry.
In spite of this, that the products in the advertisements is much better that they really are is a plausible hypothesis rather than reality. It is always the case that the products in the advertisements are partly exaggerated and overstated. A large amount of the industries simply wants to sell their products quickly, make great profits and cut the cost, as a consequence, they would add some exaggeration in their advertisements to attract the potential customers, while some customers will be vulnerable to the advertisements such as the delicate package, the magic effect advocated, and sometimes the low price they listed. Nonetheless, in fact, they couldn’t live up to what they are advertised.
Another point to note is that plenty of industries are not aware of their products enough, though they spare their effort to publicize their products; therefore the products in advertisement are not reliable and sometimes even misleading and have a terrible impact on the customers’ health. It is not rare to see that many industries are crashed down just for their problems in the products they sell, because the problem in the product they sold, and surprising, when faced with the problem they don’t fully understand the ingredients and insist that their product is pure and natural. Take the company San Lu as an example, which is a prominent company in the milk selling field. However, when advertised, they don’t know their products well enough, finally, it turns out that their milk is not as healthy as they advertised on TV and of great harm to people especially the babies.
Above all, I am still inclined to claim that the products in the advertisements are not better than they really are. After all, advertisement will always mix some exaggeration and even false information with the true products.
